Another great track. The heavy auto tune sounds really cool and works well with the track. I agree with Alien. The vocals are a little loud. Awesome song.
How many loops did you use? The breaks at 1:20 and 2:18 are very smooth. For a first attempt I think this is awesome. It has a nice groovy feel and I like the instrument selection. The panning on your 'Fire' vocal is cool. Never neglect stereo. Great track.
Personally, I think 1:00 is begging for a solid Lo-Fi drum entrance, but it depends on the mood you're going for. If you want to keep it minimalist, more intricate guitar during the chorus would greatly increase interest. It's difficult writing a song for only two instruments and you did a great job. If you want, you can contact me with your email and stems and I'll work with you.
I like the percussion a lot. It's very interesting and you mix up the sounds to keep it fresh. One thing I noticed was that the loop underneath the drums lacked in diversity. I think it would be cool to hear the music develop with the drums. Great track.
Very heavy. The switch at 0:54 was unexpected but very cool. I like the heavy house sound you have. This sounds like it would be perfect for a club. Great track.
I've been making music for about 10 years.
My picture is of NGC 2997 and I took it using the PROMPT telescopes in Chile. It was through a program hosted by a university in my area.
Read, listen to music, and watch videos to understand how instruments are arranged and mixed. Make an effort to follow through on a project to completion. Having ideas is easy, but having the discipline to work on your ideas is difficult. Never be afraid to experiment. You won't progress without trying new things. Above everything, always make music you want to hear. If you enjoy what you create you will find time to improve your sound. Something in this track tells me you will continue to make good tracks if you put in the time.
This is pretty great for a first attempt. There are a lot of cool ideas here. Mixing takes practice and time, just don't get discouraged. Awesome track.
and as far as the sidechain goes, i was a little unsure about it myself. but when i tried a lower ratio with the transient, it didnt sound completely right and it made it sound a little more, empty feeling. the sidechain was and still is a very important element in this track as i wanted to really try to bring emphasis on th ekick, clapsnare, and hihats. after hearing how it turned out, i am very glad that i decided to make it as aggressive as i did :)
thank you for your kind words, and i hope you have a great day :)
Very cool. I like how much is going on. The complexity keeps it interesting. It reminds me of something XXYYXX could make, but this is better. Great track.
This is pretty dissonant. Your chord choices are very unique. The change at 0:54 is very cool. I think some change in the drum pattern would help. The same beat for 2 minutes can get a bit stale. The instrument choice is excellent. Cool song.
I really enjoy the guitar's tone and playing. You do a lot with a few instruments and it sounds pretty good. One suggestion would be to develop the drums beyond being mostly a kick. A simple snare and high hat pattern can really make a good song great. Cool song.
It's put together very well. All the pieces flow into each other nicely. The accidental in the flute lead sounds really cool. The stereo mix is very nice as well. Great track.
