this is NASTY! i love the drums! my only suggestion would be to turn the horn line and what sounds like guitar into stereo tracks. through headphones they are a little distracting being panned to hard left/right. But the song itself is dope
you were definitely right, wade through the crap to find something good. this track is killer man i love the sax in the back, just sparse enough to give the track flavor and movement. and those crispy sounding drums are a great touch.good work man! big ups
Man dont take offense to this.but i thought drum and bass was dead.atleast GOOD drum and bass. this track is sick though, one suggestion i would make, is that about 45 secs in the song when the strings come in i think a nasty bass sound backing the rest of the track would do well(like make the bass mimic the low brass of the song just the notes on the 1).But good changes, good composition. love the drums and i was digging the fade at the end. great job
The sound of the scratch sample is fine, ive actually used the same exact sample in one of my songs before, what i did find helpful is a program called recycle. If youre not familiar, it basically takes your sample and allows you to cut it into slice so that you can then play it out on your midi controller of choice. pretty important hip hop tool if you ask me. you may be able to find another program that does something similar im pretty sure there are a lot of programs now that take .rex files
im not really into all that stuff at the mo. I have a wav editor for editing and for mixing I use a software I wrote myself, Beatz Maker Evolution. If its worth while then il look into more professional tools and software, but at the moment Im just doing this in my spare time as it not exactly financially rewarding at present. The way I see it, its hard to break into the music industry without good backing or financial aid
Man i had the hardest time even figuring which song to comment on. every single track is a solid banger! I would love to try to collab with you at some point
Man you seem to be the first cat ive found on here so far on the same wave length as far as sound. we should try to do something together! love that dirty funk sound.this track is slammin!
the track is great, the composition is good. the only thing i would suggest is the first verse and the chorus need to have a bit more power behind it. maybe even just doing some dub overs can fix it.
good mix, but i think it can be punchier.but the track has good movement to it. Maybe try a little reverb on the clap to give it a bigger sound.make the kick a little clicky.and maybe add some stops.great job though!
catchy tune, i like the vocal speedup. ive always had trouble getting that effect right. I think that the scratches could be changed up a bit, they are slighty off with the song. overall the mix of the song itself is great, it has a really good balance....not over compressed.
nice tracks man, ive always been a big fan off the over-compressed "breathy" sounding hip hop production. And i like the fact youre using some different drum patterns, some slighty off beat stuff that gives the track a lot more flavor
Thanx man... I get the Samples from here... Minor2Go is the pack master!!!!! Then I just fuse genres together cause I spent most of my childhood watching old Mtv from the early '80s! Got plenty more of the type of music and more! Holla anytime maybe we can work together on something?
