let's see...this track is brilliant without the drums...donno, maybe I don't get stg but that is totally out of the song...it doesn't fit...the start with that hihat and later that speedy tempo...no place for those in this sad, melancholical, beautiful chill...if I misunderstand stg, explain me please...:-)
great track and special use of that acapella...end is minimum weird :-) but it is surprising for sure...
humble song under the vocs what it could be a bit more powered...personally...:-)
Hey man :)
Yh the weird ending is not really how I wanted it, but I like to experiment with stuff, so I left it in if that makes sense
The loudness of the vocals compared to the music specially in the chorus part was indeed like its pushed away, I noticed it too but let a friend of mine hear it, and he said it was fine, so I tought it wasw just me, but now at least the first two comments I get are about the vocals xD So now I know I am not crazy haha, I'll try to fix it later since it bugges me a lot as well.
tnx for ur honest opinion :) and thanks for the listen and fav :D
My favourite rock/metal band is S.O.A.D. there are 2 singers in the band Serj and the guitarist...they were able to sing everything in every style together...that's the starting point...:-)
I very much like your screaming and howling, that's nearly professional...can't say this from the singing...my personal problem is that you have a nasal tone of your voice and I don't like that...you are clear, your harmonies aren't false maybe with a little reverb on it at the studio, could help...
music is incredibly good...drum is a bit back on my humble opinion (calculate that it's a basement project)
all in all, great track and this will be a winner in stucio if you plan to go ...
Im very familiar with SOAD, some of my fav tracks are from them, as well as some features Serj did for other bands.
I do agree the drums are not as explosive as I would want them. As with the singing its not my favorite either, to be quite honest I never liked the way it was on this song, but it still fits somehow. Im sure some some studio time could fix these issues, but for now, ill accept the love/hate relationship. Glad you think the music itself is very well done, as well as the screams being near professional. -EYEDYE
hell knows I like this number...very oldie synth tune but it's beautiful...I'll download it and 30 years later if I'm here, I'll try to dance slowly with my wife (if she'll be here of course...)
Welcome back...and what an epical come back...in the pop genre...it's more than humorous, this is your unique sarcasm...:-)
...and well, the track...is a report with those outstanding fxes and musical rarities...your attitude to make a number is extra and incredible...
agreed with Orlando, this is one of your best...
Thank you very much Danke glad you spotted the humour. When it came to posting it up I thought .... what the hell is this thing? Pop music it is then.
I need really to shorten it there's one stretch that goes on a bit. It turned out to be quite a complex thing. Mr Kim is in the news a lot lately and I just had to try and paint a picture of the scene. But since Orlando's post I'm now seeing him with long hair and a headband flicking the two fingers peace sign at everyone! Fifty two individual tracks on here can you believe.
Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words.
This is epic!!!
That 'main' riff from 1.56 won the listener endlessly...ultimate metal with hilarious drums, specially the kick...as Dave Lombardo, the king...
Guitars are sharp as knife and that moody pad at the back gave that dark feeling to the track...could easily listen to it with female vocs (weird?)...
I go back to check the first part, somehow I missed it or don't remember but this one is an outstanding job...
all my hats off with my handshake on my knees...:-)
Dave Lombardo has always been one of my favorites!
Coincidentally enough, the moody pads in the background actually are female vocals. I just kept them lower in the mix to not take away from the guitars.
I'm glad you liked this one, bud. I'll be putting up one more from the series soon.
this is a fantastic soundtrack music...the last theme when the hero found her love and they just sit together silently and stare to the horizon think about the 3rd world war and the result : they are the last ones...:-)
as you said it's a bit rough mix, we can hear it at the end, around 2.45 when some groovy bass? synth appears in a horribly overdriven status...
Thank you very much for the positive reply, your words are very welcome my friend.
This song had a much bigger work compared to the others, but the result surprises.
thnks for fav.
very sensitive track...piano and the acoustics are perfect, the violin is a bit too much for me (not in volume but in presence in the song)...could be though personal taste...
Thank you for your support. As I work in the city centre I had the very much doubtful pleasure to witness the residues from the attack from a closer perspective. devastating.
I've sent a couple of messages to some of my friends asking for their help with a vocal track.
What a great, new track...your musical profile changed a bit, isn't it???
I feel the tones of collab's result with Mr. Tumbleweed...:-)
Not only because of the guitars lead the listener through this dreamy artwork, but in feeling firstly...
Everything is perfect for my 'live' ears...like a progressive rock band on the stage...drums, bass, piano (with that huge reverb maybe?) and the guitar player who is walking to and fro and get a short but effective smile on his/her face...
Outstanding production, even if test drive or not...
First, sorry for the late reply but the delay had it's purpose. You have very good ears my friend cause this is indeed collab with Ed, it's just that the things are a bit upside down...Ed didn't touch his guitar in this one, so I decided this time around for something guitarish to contribute which is not really a thing for me to do, so I already prepaired another version with more obvious instrumentation choices, which will be (probably) uploaded a bit later and will offer some comparison. Yet, I'm already happy tha tyou see this as positive stuff and I have no reason not to trust my dear neighbour and friend...:) So thanks alot for all the supportive thoughts and for the 'fav' and 'dl'...means alot!:)
