Loving the kick drum in this, again same as "dont bite it" this has track has so much potential already with just the bare bones you've already made. another track you should definately finish
Hip Hop? interesting choice of genre... I would have said its roots are more linked to a ballad expecially with that 80's styled snare lol either way this is a nice start. it can easily serve as a chorus or a verse for a song. definately something you should develop in logic for sure
It's actually really good, I'm starting to warm over to trance & techno myself. its definatly a do what you want when you want genre so almost any combinations go as you've shown in this track. How you managed to make it 7 minutes 16 seconds long without actually giving me the slightest of a headache or a wiff of bordom i'll never know.
Good stuff for a first attempt mate
hey man, thanks alot. i never had a chance to reply to you before, as the site went down. thank you for taking the time to listen and review my track !
Exactly what i'm aiming to be able to achieve within the next few years, an inspiration for myself and others to try harder and achieve our fullist patential.
Hey GB!
I'm tellin' you my friend,I didn't start recording until I joined the loop and everyone here has been so giving of their talent and advice but the one thing that rises above all is collaborating...it's how I met SpellJammer on this song and learned so much just from working with him.
Everyone I collab with here brings something new to the table and I try to learn from their experience. We have great musicians, producers, beat makers,vocalist...the list goes on and on here on Looperman.
If you need it,just ask!
Thanks again for your review.
ps.I only play guitar and a little production,my focus is making these great artists sound a little better if I can...they truly sound great all by themselves.
Love the ideas your showing through this track, definately dramatic. it does have its problems as Spd2 has mentioned above, no need for me mention them again as he is right on the money with his own recommendations. If you can get this fixed up and completed it would have so much potential there after, in short a very promising song you have here.
thanks man..details of my upgrade is in the review below, hope u like it...I think there are still a few problems to iron out doe..for example the fluctuating volume
I've had a similiar idea of using rain/thunder storms at the start of one of my songs and after hearing the start of this wonderful track i'm definatly goin to add it now :) Your voice is a delight to listen to always, and can I compliment shortbusmusic for his exquisite production work.
Great stuff from you guys fair play, I bid you good night.
Definately that westcoast vibe in this, I like this a lot. maybe for the last minute or so before the fade out bring that drum beat forward in the mix like timberland does... if you know anyone who can colab the vocals onto this for you I'd get it done because this could be a very solid rap tune.
I as you suggested me to check out this track, I now have. I've had a good listen to this now and I'm impressed. your a very good guitarist and your creative ideas are quite frankly brilliant. Instead of using the built in jack slot of your electro acoustic guitar, save up and get yourself a pair of nice quality condensor microphones and try experimenting with the different natural accoustic sounds you can record. It's a shame you don't do this full time... festivals around the uk would love having you perform this material i'm sure of it :)
Good luck my friend, I look forward for more of these acoustic pieces in the future...
believe me my friend, id love nothing more than to be able to do this full time ! thanks once again for checking out my tracks, as soon as as i get online again at home, i'll upload some more !
I love the way the multiple guitar parts all intertwine with each other. it's the sorta song I would love to record in the studio, with quite a few expensive microphones placed around you and your acoustic :) really good chillout tune mate, listened to it at least four times in a row and favourited so it's easier for me to find. will definately download this to add to my relax Mood playlist!
thank you my friend. i record every thing in cubase on my home studio at the minute. i'm glad you enjoy my music ! also, check out "by the river" in my collection, any reviews would be appreciated !
Good beat fair play, for me it's just a little bit to repetitive after listening to the hole thing, I'm working on a track similiar to this atm myself :) try and get some more variation between the layers of music. all you really need to finish this off then is some vocals, possibly rapping for the verses and singing on the chorus's. Either way good it's something to proud of
Amazing, totally reminds me of a 70s american cop movie. Loving the sounds your getting of that Sax too, Maybe a tad more volume for that deliciously Sqweely guitar solo... other than that its sweet!
This track has so much potential! If you play guitar at all then try maybe recording your intro keyboard riff using an acoustic guitar instead, with lots of reverb(sorta like the way ultra nate does theirs I suppose) The drums fit very neatly into the main body of the song as well, I see no need in changing their Programming at all. In my opinion, I would also say it definitely fits into the R&B genre more than Hip Hop. But other than that, it’s a very modern sounding tune you have in the making there
