Great track, the instrumental voice that starts at 1:15 is very interesting and original, also that lead sound that starts at 2:28 is fantastic. Excellent work with the acapella.
The acapella was so clean (even though it was the wet version) that it didn't take me too long to create even the vocal chops. I only added some reverb and delay and did a bit of EQing.
That instrumental voice and the lead sound you mentioned were originally dubstep growl/lead presets in serum. On their own they were way too aggressive and designed for monophonic sounds, so I tried to make them less aggressive and more suitable for polyphonic, harmonic melodies by changing one of their wavetables, increasing the octave, adding a lot of compression, subtle flanger, and a little bit of portamento. It turned out to be a pretty good approach for getting a more melodic sound out of them.
As I listen to this, I can't help but stop and appreciate how each and every instrumental voice is so perfectly produced, how every sound is presented with such pristine quality. Oh, and the song is pretty great, too ! (lol)
LOL! Hey there theFlawlessApples! I'm glad you stopped, listened, and shared how this one came across. After writing, mixing, arranging, and everything else the real work begins. From your feedback, my effort was successful. Thank you for the time taken for this listen.
Great contrast between the sections with vocals/acoustic guitar, and those with more distorted/industrial sounds. That distorted guitar sounds very good.
Thanks hey. I had to do it...and I'm glad I did.... and I'm also glad you could vibe with it this time. Thanks for the positive feedback. Enough respect to you!
You managed to perfectly incorporate acapellas from _two different_ artists, and made an excellent, articulated track that respects the artists voices. Great job !
Another interesting track with your unmistakable style and witty lyrics: great job !
Stereo balance is uneven, though, as your vocals are panned towards the left channel throughout the track.
thanks for the check Flawless, everything sounds good my end its not left sided there is three sets of vox on this, lead vocal is central the two other vox overlays are both panned one 18% left and the over 17% right, i appreciate you takin a listen bro
Greetings to theFlawlessApples! Thanks for the stop and listen. I greatly appreciate the feedback and sharing how this one translated. It's good you found this listen satisfying.
