Bao, you truly restore my faith in an artist that understands how to create and develop a distinct sound and not waver. Thats a gift in its self. I like the special way you keep it real with the vocals. your hooks are always memorable, and the music always fits the lyrics. To me that's the perfect combination for a solid solo artist concept. PEACE. T576 OUT.
Thanks man!!
You realise that "my sound" to some extent is due to the limitations I have as an artist... But it's good for me to realise that's becoming a strength.
You know, I've played a couple open mic nights recently and people reacted positively to what I was playing. You and the lovely people at Looperman have helped me so much developing that sound and getting that confidence to go out there and play... It's amazing :)
77, I mean kingmt, you tightened me up at 3:41 then at 4:39 you hit me hard with that guitar track. As I was listening I developed ugly face syndrome. You know how it sounds so good to you, your bottom lip has the appearance of being pushed up hard into your top lip, this track took me there. Again I submit to you and fellow Loopers that in fusion there is no orthodox song form method. Most fusion artist are accomplished dimensional thinking writers not to say that an RNB writer isn't, FUSION is more of an instrumental level of creating. If you can twist my face with a track, Its got to be good. You did your thing on this. I'm glad I caught it. PEACE. T576 OUT.
My Bro T576. You hear we be working it out. Thanks for the vote of approval on my latest with the kind commentary and fave. Now for that face business...STANK FACE is what it is! And that happens to be the highest award a musician can receive! Yep, the Stank Face Award, haha. Nonetheless, the convo and your highly respected perspective is beyond a shadow of a doubt appreciated in a huge way. I'm really in my zone fusion wise, and fortunately I'm free from musicians brain lock. Proof of that ........ It always works out in the end. Peace.
This is one of the catchiest tunes I've ever heard here on the Loop. I can tell from listening to your tracks, that you have come up with a way of writing that fits your voice as well as establishing an identity. You have a distinct vocal sound. If I hear one of your songs on the radio, I would know it's you. great sound. PEACE. T576 OUT.
Thanks a lot man, that means a lot. I fixed a couple more things, extended the section after the bridge (which is probably the funkiest part) and added some subtle horns at the end. So far it also seems to be a winner on youtube - I rarely get 20 views the first day :D
What a voice and inspirational composition. I have never heard a classical voice here on the Loop. Verry refreshing to come across a track like this. Hope you come back to give us more. PEACE. T576 OUT.
What a comeback. The changes peaked my curiosity to listen completely. Really nice groove. I was feeling it from beginning to end. I can understand every word of the vocal. Great mix and overall sound. PEACE. T576 OUT.
thanks so much for your listen and comment, ive had a tough 6 months since i walked out of my old job at 56, this was to show i was not finished i have now gained a new roll and out performed all my old colleagues most were haters, and got an extra 15k to boot too bloody right im having the ride of my life :)) just commented on your beautiful classical piece too, stunning bro
Verry interesting track. I like the house feel. The Santana guitar solo fits perfect. This was a satisfying journey of a listen. Title fits the production. Nice work. PEACE. T576 OUT.
Hey Mark, hope every thing is going well for you. Just want to say, I agree with you on bringer's reply on this one. With out textures there is no element of surprise in a song. I consider song form and textures one in the same. I try to keep my distance between predictable moves in Jazz productions, and who's going to listen to a track that they know what's going to happen from minute to minute. The door to perfection is eternally open to musicians, which is why we are able to endlessly create. You proved this on this track. PEACE. T576 OUT.
Bill. It’s always big when you stop through. You, just like me……….. share the same thoughts on the element of surprise. And that is the life and excitement of what we do. Thanks for the time you’ve taken to share your thoughts. Your compliments are received humbly. Peace
Excellent sound and playing. From guitar player to guitar player, very clean and precise sound and playing. Quite a emotional feel also. Perfect for vocals. PEACE. T576 OUT.
CLASSICK MOWTON WRITING. Songs like this is how Berry Gordy got rich. Reminds me of somthing Smokey R. would write. Keep doin watcha doin. I will be back soon. PEACE. T576 OUT.
Thanks so much, T576! The comparison you drew between my music and that of Motown, specifically Smokey Robinson is humbling. Happiness you enjoyed the track.
I'm trying to figure out what the 149 listeners didn't hear that I heard. Maby they weren't members or something to not leave a comment. ThIs is pleasingly interesting. The movement of this is cinematic, mixed with symphonic over tones. Perfect combination for a creative expression of sound. PEACE. T576 OUT.
Its refreshing to hear rap with out profanity. Strong vocal concept. Music fits the flow. I can understand what you're saying. It gets my approval. PEACE. T576 OUT.
I've been doing music for a long time. Old G, that's me. I am familiar with all sorts of song forms, but as far as more structure ask yourself the question, what is the music listeners opinion of this track, the one who has no experience in song structure at all. I think this track is fine the way it is.I like the guitars and keys(revers affect) and the vocal which reminds me of a hint of Michal Franks, which I like. I think you're fine on this one. PEACE. T576 OUT.
I can get with this. I like message rap. If there's no message in it I wont listen to it, but every body's got there own preference for listening but Thumbs up on this track. PEACE. T576 OUT.
Bao you have a unique concept. Your sound is you with a touch of Steely Dan light, witch I respect to the utmost. the arrangements and mix is on the money. Got TO COME BACK FOR MORE. PEACE. T576 OUT.
Thanks a lot buddy!! BTW This one also has a video now (**DANGER DANGER NOT VERY SUBTLE PLUG** ;) ) https://youtu.be/ukBUDm18JAw
Thanks so much for listening, really appreciated :) Especially when a track is a bit older you start getting these doubts... was that really worth it? Was that any good? So it's extra nice if somebody likes you takes that trouble and says "hey I liked this one!"
You have a concept It's called SMOOTH. I respect you for only using high quality samples. I can also hear in your solo instruments you are in no way shape or form, TONE DEATH. You splice in key. Sounds like the Zenology is a very valuable tool. I will be back. PEACE. T576 OUT.
Thanks again for the listen and comments. I really try for "smooth" . I respect the intense listen to pick out instruments and samples. BTW check out some of your tracks. Awesome changes and feels.
Well put together. I particularly like the movement of the cords and the changes. Perfect musical setup for a lead instrument melody line. Good mix. PEACE. T576 OUT.
I don't care if this was created with loops or hoops, this is well put together Smooth smooth and more smooth. Instrumentation is on the money from the horn to the organ. nothing but SWEET BABY. PEACE. T576 OUT.
Strong House music. I particularly like the never-ending pulse. If you can't jump up and down on this, you must be at the club sleep. Solid mix. Thums up. PEACE. T576 OUT.
Excellent guitar work and mix. You can't fail with a Strat. I would have to get a contract on the female vocalist. She couldn't leave me until after the third grammy for best pop rock song. You are truly a gifted artist. PEACE. T576 OUT.
Nice work. Simple and yet powerful sound. I agree with Lek on the drums and Mabe calm the synths down a few dB or so. Just my opinion. Solid track for the first one. PEACE. T576 OUT.
Yeah, i made this when I didnt know shit about shit. I was using LMMS and Soundtrap at the time. I now have FL Studio with all the VSTs I need, so I don’t know what the hell I was doing I just slapped a bunch of shit I thought sounded good.
