yeah, some sounds really are familiar ... lol
but the highlight is the basslick at the beginning, heavy drive ...
you need to work this piece out ...
so far: very good work!!
great respect, awesome playing!! you got a fine tone in your hand ...
the song could be a little longer!!
but anyway, I enjoyed what you've done so far ...
yeah, I like this!!!
you added a great beat, the bassloop is also very cool (maybe a little too loud), the filter is a good idea!!
the beginning is awesome ...
I'm glad you like my loops, thx again!!
that's my world!!!!
perfect playing with a lot of laid back feeling ...
exactly as it has to be ...
old style funk will be fresh forever!!
you say you play bass, are you doing any loops? I really could need some basslicks in that style and you seem to be able to play very tight and exact, check out my songs and you will know why ...
anyway: congratulations to the whole band, I guess your gigs are cool parties ...
Whats up brther!
Thanks for the review We really Appreciate you comments...if you need any bass lines Ill be glad to record them for you just send the drums lines and I can lay down some pretty tigh and basic on the 1 lines, the way funk bass has been played in the old times.
hey, I like your style, most of all the work with the beats and the dynamics of the song.
especially when you shift the beat and the snare sits on the one!!
the bassline is brilliant, also the instrumentation, cool tempo change in the middle (the doubletime part) with that funky horns...
definately a cool style, tricky and well constructed...
do you have more of that stuff??
ok, it's a massive riff in the beginning, really a great one and the arrangement is well done, but the sound over all is too bassy for my taste (only a little).
you should equalize the track and most of all you should use a compressor to avoid the clipping!!
did you use loops to create it or is this you playing? your profile doesn't say anything ...
generally it is a real good song!!
cool tune for the cocktail lounge ...
the trumpet-loop gives a jazzy atmosphere, also like the beat with that interesting hihats, only the rhodes is a little too dominant or repetitive (for my taste) but I love this instrument ...
over all a smooth tune, well done ...
you got me hooked man ...
very chilly, very smooth, the flanger effect at the end of the song is awsome, the right idea at the right time ...
I guess I'll join the party ...
hey man, you really have to work this out!!!
a very strong beginning, but way too short!!
the cutouts of the guitar loop are awsome, keep the breaks a little shorter and add a bassline, this track could be winner!!!
I had to play it really loud to get it!!
it's very minimalistic but that leaves more space for phantasy, cool effect ...
trippy is a good description for it.
keep developing this style ...
this is something you should send to a record company!! honestly, it's brilliant ...
it reminds me on an evening I had the honour to sing a few songs with Gary Howard from the Flying Pickets at an aftershow party a few years ago ...
great moments ....
I say it again: I'm really impressed about your rap skills, you got the rhythm ...
only the noise in this track is a little disturbing, if it is your intention it's a little too much ...
but over all: very good work!
this is a funny piece of music, happy with a touch of madness, interesting ...
the beat is very good and the bassline is really surprising when it starts. the more I listen to this track the more it gets me ...
I can't tell you how refreshing it is to hear that great sounds again!!! I owned myself an atari when I startet to play with bands, but I sold it when I got my first pc, one of the biggest mistakes i ever made (and the list of my mistakes is very very very long ...)
to the song: greetings from joe zawinul ... I mean this as a compliment, not as a joke or something, great harmonies, great scales!!
many many parts, extraordinary breaks, this one blows off!!!
just one thing to say (and I hope it's useful):
you are right, the bass is great, but I would turn it down a little (just a little) and make the guitars a little louder to get a better balance in the mix, cause I think that this would give the whole tune even more pressure and power than it has right now ...
cheers, rei
oh! almost forgot to say: the synth-lines are placed perfect and give the track a lot of thrill ...
first I thought this is a little monotonous, but this was an error, the song is a real grower, and everytime I thought something should happen now, bang, something new came up ...
and this is excellent ...
