on Rock-Metal instrumental by ripzore9191
I really like this track. It's full of energy and when I was waiting for it to burst into flames, It delivered just that. I like the rawness of it, the guitar riffs are catchy enough to keep the listener engaged. It is simple and straight to the point is what I feel from listening to this. Great Job, I wanna hear more or hear this with some vocals!

on Without You by ImproveWithError
Very cool. I like your singing and they way you wrote the lyrics to flow with your guitar playing. A bit overdone in my opinion. Just a bit repetitive. Reminds me of U2 and Bon Jovi having a baby. Was hoping for a nice change up to separate a lot of the repetition.

Hey thanks for checking out the track, I am glad you liked the vocals, not the most comfortable singing but its fun anyway. There were a lot of conflicting EQ issues, still some present but hey its an ever going processes for me.

on Envy and Attrition by Jspangler4224
take the drums down a bit. put some more mid on the guitars, add some bass guitar.

1. double up the guitars
2. add bass.(i dont hear any)
3. vocals are awesome.

good stuff.

I like the story behind this. The background music fits it perfectly. Those scratches are elite.
Clear voice makes this track pop

on Tick Tock by FinalBoss
If that is you singing and screaming I envy you. I like the fact that your just not screaming all through it...I love metal to death but not the kind who over kill a song with screaming. but the screaming in this is tolerable and I can make out what is being said so i dig it.

The instruments are solid, killer guitar work, over all a good flowing track that is constantly up-beat.

Too bad your band didnt break up. This is what kids are getting into a lot right now.

Wow sir I am flattered by your kind comment : ) We did in fact break up after a tour of Colorado. Our name was In Blood We Are Bound and I will alway miss it. Hopefully in the near future I can start another band we had a lot of fun making technical metal tracks. More old demo tracks to come....

I like your guitar playing technique and style. Reminds me of of what I like when i shred. I love it, those change ups you do are very smooth into what i could tell was the chorus and verse. cant wait to hear this when you finish it.

on new song idea (in progress) by joshthedjentleman
for a new song idea I do believe you are very creative and original. I like the poppiness of the drums but most of all you play a mean guitar. you listen to a lot of slipknot? What I really like about this is your ability to make everything flow nicely together. The drums are mapped out to match your guitar rythm flawlessly. unlike most drums which are just a 4/4 measure looped all the way through a song, yours has change ups. Like that. The guitar riffs well A+ for creativity. I like how you thought out your transitions. i can tell you put some time into this.
I dont want to get too critical so i will wait for a finished song out of this idea you have.

Thanks man, I actually don't listen to a ton of slipknot these days, I used to though. I actually program all of my drums using Superior Drummer which allows me to make all of my patterns with simple midi sequencing, easier and a lot of times more convenient than micing a drumkit. This song is actually all in 4/4, but I tried to throw in some changes/subdivisions (ie the chorus riff with the straight 4/4 cymbal over the dotted rhythm on the kick and snare)...Hopefully I'll have this song done soon man :)
projectjehobith
your style reminds me of this local band "chubfarm" or another one i know D*fect

I like what your doing anyways keep it up.

on Lance Johnson the Surfer by Planetjazzbass
lol was someone trying to blow up Lance Johnson at the beach one day or something? I could actually hear what was bombs or explosions going off. Its crazy I got this flash video game image of multipleLance Johnson's surfing and some kid with a bazooka trying to score points. On a serious note: You did a killer job on mixing this together. The twangy surfin guitar with that bass makes this a fantastic work of art. enjoyable and fun to listen to.

on Butterfly Opens - Titanium Handles Lock Fast by n0mad23
I get this subliminal message that this track is telling me to feed rice to seagules. lol na, really this is not something I would normaly just listen to but randomly enjoy. The overall sound is superb. Puts me into a Hypnotic trance of paraylization.

and then the music stops.. and im like whoa...back to the normal world.

awesome track really enjoyed this.

The forum thread called Ambient Logbook got me really thinking about consciously creating emotions in listeners - but I wanted to take that into something more compelling. Ambient music can be ignored, but "a Hypnotic trance of parallelization" can't be. Glad you enjoyed this.

Sounds well mixed on my end. Wanna know what I think?

KICK ASS! I am a metal head myself. Havent uploaded any of my metal projects yet I was once known as "jehobith". Man I bet you had fun playing those guitar riffs. There definently tasty. Panning effects are teasing the hell out of my ears dude.. lol i guess thats a good thing. its like its out of control but its not. trying to control something like this would be chaotic. trust me thats a good thing because to me this track you got here deserves to be out of control. I'll be checking you out some more. good stuff.

I have no complaints for this. You did a hell nice job. I like the panning work and the seperation of instruments. vocal samples you used are high quality that is a plus. I really can't find any errors... I mean at first I thought the drums were too loud but naaa there fine. awesome tune

Thank you very much, my friend. I appreciate the listen and review.

I've been a headbanger for many decades now, and I know that metal gets monotonous at times, so I try to come up with riffs and rhythms that are somewhat new and fresh. Of course, it doesn't always work (lol), but sometimes it does.

Peace,

Mike
