yes yes yes! you figured out how to use that synth loop PERFECTLY. this whole piece flows so seemlessly, so effortlessly. the breaks are great and i love the drums you decided to couple with these samples.
if youre interested, heres what i did with the same sample [http://www.soundclick.com/util/getplayer.m3u?id=5701130&q=hi]. i think i like your version better lol...
Kudos!
LOL - chocolate cake is a great motivator around here. My wife and I usually say threatening movie lines over the last piece. I think the next one I use ( and the next track title ) will be "YOU SHALL NOT...PASS !!!!!!!!!!! LOL
Hey there, thank you for your kind words. D2d provided the brilliant guitar work - I had a lot of fun with this one. Actually I spent about a month listening and pondering what to do before I put my paws to it - and then it went somewhere different...oh well, still had fun.
why can i see robbie so clearly in my mind? and the anteater? lol this track is SUCH a fun ride. i covet your ability to stay ambient, while also moving your lil creature thru the musical forest you created for him. it reminds me so much a cartoon i used to love as a kid. great job!
"Just what I needed actually as I was feeling a little frustrated this morning that I can't make these pieces better. I can hear the music in my head, I just can't always make it come out just right."
-->spoken like a true artist, right? lol i think we all struggle with the dilema of bringing to reality what we so clearly hear in our minds. i think you do a beautiful job of creating some really exciting, enjoyable soundscapes. this track is no exception.
keep up the outstanding work!
LOVE hearing this track after i just went a completely dark direction with Eshar's amazing acapella. you took it to a whole different place, and it works REALLY well. great drums, solid bassline, beauitfully placed accents.
great job!
the fusion of grenres in this track is nothing short of commendable. when people try to mash up different genres, it all too often sounds like a mess of different instruments, void of any commonality or cohesion. this track is the opposite of that. electro, rock, hiphop, all lovingly placed together in near perfect harmony.
be proud of this one. its golden..and cheers for the inspriation.
stop it.
i mean it.
that bassline is SWINE FLU ILL. period. couple it with a haunting indian vocal, eerily close to a call to prayer, and you get something REALLY speacial. your accents are spot on. they break up the sickness just long enough to make you blindly grasp for it, like a junkie does a fix. the film samples are great, but so very secondary to the piece. the meaning i think you were going for is pefectly conveyed in the beat...i promise.
your work makes me tingle.
"i want a lil of what you got"
your basslines make all of the right body parts weep. the break in this song makes me wanna grab a stranger and stick my tongue in their ear.
another deliciously naughty beat. kudos!
[im usually really good at giving constructive feedback...but your tracks leave me "aftersex-dizzy".]
i have to disagree with your description of this song. it doesnt read strange at all to me; this is simply a bangin', old school dance track. youve got some killer breaks in it, which i love, and the accents are placed just right, not too overpowering as they so often can be. despite your premature presumption *wink*, i did, indeed, like this track. great work!
this is one of these pieces that is so solidly put together, it is almost impossible to NOT hear a vocalist on top of it. im lovin' the angsty vibe comin off of it as well. kudos!
being another artist that appreciates the desire to make tracks that dont sound like they came from a particular program, i have to agree with raporia; you did a beautiful job mastering this uber chill, naughy beat. i love with a synth follows, then joins a beat. it makes me wanna follow right along beside them...really nice piece!
the amazing thing about this track is i am in love iwth all of the musical pieces seperately, as well as together. if you just had the synth and the drums, the beat would slam. if you just had the guitar [like in the middle], the beat would still slam. i think thats the mark of a truly solid track.
like i just commented to another looperman family memeber, without artist pushing the boundaries and experimenting, the genres would remain stagnant. so keep it up...
kudos!
this piece takes you to a few different places, doesnt it? i love a piece that can do that. you had fun with seperate melodies and how they played with each other...that made this a really fun piece to listen to.
good job!
new school trippy music is what im really into these days, and this is a perfect example of that vibe. this songs allows your head to wander to places unknown...without the aid of psychotropics lol. solid production value allows the freeform melody to really shine.
great work! keep 'em comin'...i'll be listening...
righteous beat + a spit that flows smoother than conditioner = "fahgetabahdit".
great work. im smitten. youre making me want to write you something extra special...something worthy.
kudos!
love love LOVE your style! this song is so haunting...its painting a creepy picture with or without the explanation, and i believe that's the true mark of a good score. your transitions from emotion to emotion are flawless.
uber kudos!
this track has such a fun, retro sound. reminds me of a score from any of my favorite films from the late 80s. great synth work, and i love the beat; it manages to thump while remaining laid back. really enjoyed it from start to finish.
Thank you oasisduke! I do think it´s hot as well! I like the track a lot and I do picture some cool stuff that could be done to the track ¨lyric/vocal¨ wise... but it needs to be a real pro, cause the song is kinda cool I´d say... so I don´t wanna mess it up! lol!
Thank you so much! I appreciate your comment... I don´t know bout sultry lol! ... But thanks! I do love this song as well, it is very romantic... I just need to get a clean instrumental version so I can re-record it properly!... By the way... Do you sing?
i am SO GLAD im not the only artist on here that believes there should be a pop genre option on the drop down list. i adore this piece. this sounds like "now", if that makes any sense...the beat is lovely and your vocal make a nice addition to the melody. nice job!
I know! There should be a pop option! I don´t get it! Pop is such a strong genre... anyways... Thank you very much for your review! I really appreciate it!
to me, this is the definition of good trance. im not sure why people got it in their heads that trance couldnt have a beautiful moving melody. all the the pieces of this song fit and flow so well together. congrats on a great piece...cant wait to hear more from you.
