Gord, what a gift this is - open heart + crazy courage. whole new meaning for 'down to earth' - makes me happy to have my feet on the ground. A jaw-dropping collab - much peace and respect to you guys!!
Jamie, it's amazing to hear you cutting loose - the inventiveness, discipline, feeling, and economy in the 'clean' lines are out of the park. superb and bursting energies on this track!
ok, i don't listen to miles and miles of techno but i'd say this is a B12 shot in the arm. dig the arrangement v much how the parts emerge + merge break and coalesce - much admired grooves, man
lyrics, perf, arrangement really come together - somewhere between the stoplights i started feeling pretty ok too - it is good to hear you - peace, aliyarose
gentle, celestial - i'm always in awe of yr roland and the substance in your compositions - i always find yr melodic ideas challenging and dig the levels that gives to your rewarding music. much respect and gratitude for your work, Jamie.
i dig the track as well as the sediment, but you are in the underground here man - nevermind the professors, there's a lot a cats you oughtta be checking out - i ain't referring to myself - you do the surf. might restore a little faith.
take care of yrself, airman
I am admiring all your music, but for me this is the purest track (yet). Very strong emotional components like all great OST, but this one I think is richer, some strange dark knots being picked at, maybe never undone. Much much respect for all your works
i am always captured by your songwriting - i hear the story of two brothers separated, one looking back at days that may have been hostile but there was a fierce kind of love - a lament but a celebration - the way memories affect us - always many dimensions in your writing.
Allen is so right on - superb musics, superb collaboration
You know you touched my soul when you give so much value to my lyrics. So what I can say ...? Thanks brother.
Has been a privilege to have Allen to its sensitivity. But better to explain with my words it's best to hear his guitar on the song. Haughtiness.
i think the drum abuse is crucial! and no kidding you have such inventive things in yr tracks it isn't funny. when i listen it's music first, sound second if y'know what i mean. sometimes that is a mothhhher^r to wrestle with but there is vindication. sorry for the novel, man - respect
Gord There is no other songwriter like you i've ever heard whose words and thoughts make such an impact and create a such a unique voice - i always hear the singing parts in your music and it's an experience that's always unnerving and extremely rewarding. Thank you, man.
Michael, I know you've been around this site a long time. So when you spend your time reviewing my tracks and tell me what it is you like about my tracks, I'm very humbled, very humbled....and, ironically, at a loss for words. I truely always appreciate your thoughts my friend. Take good care.
Gord
otherworldy but earthy - this is cool, tricky - i hear mellotron - they say that's the last sound a person hears before they die - tell me i'm wrong - but if i'm not this is heaven
Hemingway and Morricone having a deadly grappa-drinking contest in the heat, sneaking shots to the bull under the table. Death in the afternoon, rugged and dusty as only theHumps could deliver. They'll be looking for you, all three. Leave town now, Wayne. Don't be a hero. Take off the red sombrero at least. Ah, it's no good even trying to make sense to you.
not actually familiar w/ the rules but this exercise works - very cool effective music from a controlled set of sound sources - touching without being ##### - respect for pure electronic music!

Death in the afternoon is also a great song by Havana 3 am, Paul Siminon's band after the Clash broke up. That is a bull fighting song too.
Thanks Michael, appreciate you stopping by!
