Nice. Thats some crazy work with the guitar piece, i like it. Broken drums sounding great when you start gating the sample.
Im wondering if a bassline might make it smoother on the gate, just simple one strums, and then maybe take it up to a chug, faster as it comes back in.
But then that might not be the way you are thinking.
Thanks man. I think I know what you mean about adding a bassline. What I've done is gate the bassline as well to go along with the gated guitar sample. I'm gonna look into what you've suggested because I see where you're coming from. Thanks for the suggestion and the review.
badass man. real british hip hop. Really like it. I can imagine rickmal doing some good rhymes with you on this. Should check him out if you havent already.
Nice track. Sounds like a jazz jam indeed. Excellent mixing. Nice to hear some jazz sounds on here. They dont get the love they need. I did on recently and it gets overlooked for the usual hiphop stuff!
thanks for the review man, I've done another version of this track with a fellow looperman member's pella which is much better than this version
thanks again dude
peace & love
thanks for the feedback man, always appreciated. dilla is like the greatest ever probably for me,if i had as much talent in my body as jaydee had in one drum-machine banging finger i would be a happy man
This is insanely good. Love that deep bassline. Fantastic vocals, sounds so real. really feeling it. nothing fake about those styles. i bloody love it!!
Sounds like amp fiddler or something.just awesome
Cheers Bobby. Yeh i tried to bring the vocals in on the wobble sections but it just didnt sound quite right but im gunna keep messing with it and see what happends.
The good
I think the flows are pretty sweet. they Meet the beat, pretty slick tones and a relaxed style.
The beat is catchy enough, and has a creepy kind of luniz vibe
Suggestive
I think you probably know that the quality of the vocals would be much better with a better mic. but then thats some expensive stuff and you gotta keep that money for weed and hoes right? :)
It might be my englishness, but i prefer the big up best mc kind of hip hop. thats my kinda hippety hop.
I like the beat, really do. Might be nice to throw in some kind of chord change half way, or something. keep it fresh you know!
Thanks Man For The Comment and yes like you sad I do need a better mic I plan on getting a better one soon thinking on getting a snow ball or some thing like that and we plan on re recording this track when i do thanks for keep ing it real and for the tip man
How dark is this?! Really dirty sounds you have there. I think it has just the right amount of space and the textures of the beats, bass and other elements sound really clean. not over produced. Quite an ambient sound, you can kick back to it.
Only thing i might say is that over 6 mins is a fairly long track. really tasty number though man.
thanks for the feedback, I'm workin on a more compact version. 6 minutes is a bit drawn out.

I think this is great. Melodic as you say, crisp beats, and a deep wobble. I like how the guitar and piano swap being the lead. that is a great keys sample. The tone of the piano is really fantastic.
thanks for the kind words bobby. the piano sounds are sampled from a yamaha c7 with microphone set close. i can send them to you if you want. i got 6 different mic settings @ 110 samples each, 75megabytes per set. also got many other samples let me know if u need some
This is an interesting one. Not your usual dubstep style.
First off, that beat is really fresh. new styles there. makes it sound really industrial, like the sound of a machine in a factory. bit of chorus on that snare makes it sound phatter. THose screeches, are mental, but really work.
The bass is deep and heavy, if you do get to go back and mix the wobble up, i think it will be even better. as it is, it supports the other elements perfectly.
Those high frequency whistle synths are really melodic, and i think you have a really interesting track all in all.
Maybe a bit of a sudden end, but hey, i didnt expect anything in this track!
THANX BRO.. yea i havent finished the track yet... still as a lot of more.. possibly a dif bass... maybe play wit the wobble.. much help thanx for the review
Yeah.this is awesome, certainly french house sounding, love that cut up sample, and the disco stylings. tidily produced too, as with your usual stuff. With the right vocals it could kill.
i'll be posting a finished version of this at some point soon man. I'm just writing ideas at the moment, will be in a studio from next month for 6 months to actually make an album. Soon tho man, again, thank you for taking the time. Appreciate that fam.
Loving those jazzy chords. really fresh summery tune.
Good bassline to go with it. Just right. And that percussion loop is fresh. can imagine hearing this in an ibizan beach bar as the sun beats down.
I think a raw guitar improv piece would sound superb over this, some real phat licks.
Only suggestions i might have is that it could be trimmed down in places, take it to a more manageable length (keep this for your club mix :) )Also the end could be a bit better, fade out perhaps?
thanks for the review Bobby, what you have said has been taken on board.I think I may have a few more that need' adjustments' .I tend to get carried away lengthwise.Your type of review is what I like, advice on making my tracks better, cheers!
Yeah , you nailed that wobble bass, nice rhythm goingon, chunky funky bass, crunchy with that snare. I would have added a little more reverb to the snare. i love that bassline tho seriously.

really interesting track though man. I like that little riff. Sounds a bit crammed in at times though, like you cant make out what the voices say.

The only problem ihear is, as others have mentioned, the crackling in the build up is quite intense. If you can clean it up it would be magnificent.

I like when the extra snares come in just before 2mins, they give it some more kick, a bit dnb style.
My only recommendations might be to bring the vocals in again a bit earlier, during the wobble sections. might be too much but might just work.
Again, cheers & much appreciated.

What did you use to get that sound? Sytrus?
I used z3ta+ for the wobble.
