yea that is probably the problem if your keys are matching and it still sounds whack... yea try messing with pitching it up and down or just try rolling it upwards and downwards on the piano roll of your bassline to see which note it actually needs to be on. i see you use sony acid pro so i wont be much help there (i would offer to remix it for you) but yea i mean just keep playin wit it until it works. peace
yea man id love to see the wobble stay cause it sounds great but just tune it so it melds... if you need to figure out the key that your flutes are in do it! itll be worth the effort and then you can plan your bassline accordingly. good luck and feel free to delete my second review after you read it haha...
okay So I'm really not good with this music theory stuff at all. I've figured out some of the samples are in the key of C ( the same as the wobble) but I can't figure out the key of the ones playing at the same time as my wobble, to my ears they definitely sound out of tune to the key of C tho :S
Would pitching samples up or down possibly bring them into tune?
very atmospheric and even relaxing! love it. i would like to let you know that your wobble bass is horribly out of tune with your flute... i would personally prefer a more melodic bassline for this style of dubstep that out of tune kindof kills the mood for me.
I'm not big on my music theory, but i get what your sayin, it does sound a bit off.. Lookin back at this, the wobble doesn't really fit in the with whole minimal tip of the rest of the song...
Not sure what I'm going to do with yet, but will have to go back and see what I can do with it I guess
dude nice! you really tied in the best aspects of both breakbeat and electro into one very well mastered and EQed track... big big ups for this one. great synth work and love the pitch bending.
haha well look what i found while browsing the dubstep section... glad you joined the looperman fam dude! you already got my comments on your FB fan page though so ill just keep this one to greetz
nice dude... great percussion, good sample and a great wobble line... im not sure if i personally like the way you repeat and stutter the vocals during the first buildup (i feel like that works better for trance and house and techno) but thats a personal preference. i also feel like the vocals could be a little more present and spacey with some eqing and some reverb to add a little atmosphere. nice job!
wow dude you have a REALLy clean mix here. love it. i wish the drop kicked you harder, pretty retarded flow... love your job with the wobbs. nice percussion really a great track.
overall its pretty decent but many of the transitions need work like at 2:17 we just lose everything but the kick without even a reversed crash cymbal or transition of any type. i love your blips that kick in there with the kick eventually. peace!
nice bass progressions and just great sounds on your wobbles... i think your kick needs improvement (it needs more punch its just subby boom right now) i would bring your snare/clap out more... that should hit you harder to help bring more rythm to it my only other suggestion is possibly adding some trippy vocals in there. peace and keep up the good work
nice track dude! very clean sounding... i would suggest kicking up the intensity by possibly adding another octave layer of the same notes to your baseline at the second main section to ramp things up. right now it's groovy but feels a bit stagnant after a bit. listen to Aftershock by Chuckie for an example of what im talking about. peace!
wow nice stuff dude! ill be watching for you in the future... i would suggest dropping your bassline RIGHT after your sample as it feels a bit off with the bit of silence after it... kindof loses the drop effect. great sounds overall... also work on transitions and this could be a killer track!
this is a real clean beat dude... love it. i can definitely hear your rock influences in the tom rolls like at 2:16. lol do i hear a dog barking sample?
nice dude... its a cool track! i feel like the vocals need some more EQing cause when your trancy synths come in they are battling for frequencies with your vocals, also the bassline does the same to a lesser degree with the vocals.
I took care of that for the most part yesterday.
A couple years ago I would fix that buy turning everything way the hell up.
I realize now that that's pretty retarded.
unlike Elotium.... who obviously has no taste, i AM CRAZY about your lead synth. Its insanely good. such a great electro club feel!!! Reminds me a ton of a DJ Antoine track. The riff could do with some changin up (maybe arpegiation?) and some maybe more portamento... your vocals work nicely and you have good buildups. i would appreciate a thicker more midrange banging kick to acommpany that lead. nice track dude
this is REALLY fresh! great job guys! ive grown up around jazz my whole life and this fusion of jazz and my favorite genre (house) is really groovy! awesome work
well idk how but you sure snagged that "dirty dutch" synth style... nice work on that... now it just needs a little variety and some well thought out riffs.
