on Runner in the Dark by Spivkurl
hey spivkurl, was reviewing a koukotso track and there was a mention of this track in amongst the reviews so i thought i'd drop by and have a listen.
Great title for a start and i feel it is suited to the music, not huge on trance music but this has that something extra special which is your style, really has that old capcom computer sound that i love which shouts MIDI.

Thanks for sharing.

Hey thanks for stopping by! I know what you mean about trance music, I can't seem to make the standard style of trance... I think this is the closest I can get. No matter what I do I end up with something of my style, not something genre specific. Either way, I'm glad you could get into this one! I appreciate you reviews!

on Kali with Peanut Sauce by n0mad23
excellent track, liking the unique dub style and classic eastern sound on this one, really feeling those hats bind and bring together the instruments which are trying to pull away.

Explorations in music is the order of the day, another for the faves.cheers.

I love the sound of instruments that are non-traditional to the West, as also those here that tend to be obscure. Maybe it's the Psychedelic sensibility that's there. The hats - definitely the unifier here, in an attempt to subvert World Music and introduce some spirit. Thanks for the review!

You really do have your own style, it's deliberate, chaos let out of the bottle, this sort of material is prone to go over a lot of peoples heads. Love the hypnotic states you create thru your music.cheers.

Man, looking at the latest rounds of reviews, I'm beginning to think there's an audience for my Thang. Stillness in Chaos. All is Well. It's an old tradition wearing the garments of the modern - altered states through musical experience. I'm really beginning to love(?) the tech that's now at our disposal. Thanks for the listen and review! Cheers!

I'm one of those that knows this, and I'm glad to shared it for those who read the reviews! Don't know if you read through any that reviewed before you - this song is actually inspired by my own experience with an angry herd on the Benue River in the north west border of Cameroon when I was 9 years old. My dad and I got chased several hundred yards down the river bank and narrowly escaped in a `66 Ford Bronco. I think I did a fairly good job of translating that experience into an intense sound scape. Thanks for the fave!

Far from being a pest, I'd say this is about the greatest compliment you could give. Actually 9 of the songs here are available on my Totems from the Diaspora album for sale on all major digital distribution sites (iTunes, Napster, mp3, rebeat, etc.) and it's a trip seeing it for sale on Japanese sites. I'll shoot you an email with some details. Thanks and cheers!

Yeah, some sort of CGI experience behind this would be amazing. I can see it it my head: stepping through the boundary of the fairy ring and landing in the space of Frog. Strobes and tracers galore. Thanks for the listen and review!

Very enjoyable track, top notch production, very pro, feel the dub influence riding on an astral belt, like the late bass and synth all effective, worthy of a download if the option was there.

Thanks for the listen and review Salook! This was the last track I made for the album of the same name, and I actually made over a dozen different drafts of it before I found what worked for me. I love Ethnic music, but I find a lot of World Music tracks are rather - mediocre? I really wanted to avoid that pitfall with this one, and think I did. Sound like you're in agreement, which certainly makes me feel good about this one. Thanks!
