Man really dig this, reminds me of funky porcini, love that chilled out lounge vibe, undercover agents spying on insects through a gigantic magnifying glass are the images projected while listening to this...strange i know lol, top tune downloaded and faved. thanks.

Yeah, i hope when you say bad, it is bad meaning good, the pella is really haunting and you have reworked it well to compliment the dark scope you have created...would liked to have heard more of this, seems you were building towards something.

on impromptu three by dave422x
From the end intensity of part 2 into this number just blows me away...this third version just took me Tuva, this kind of music i have been listening to for a while, i can hear throat singing on this but that is just the mind set you put me in...man enjoyable stuff.

The hiss doesn't matter cause this is great, nice piece of music you create, relaxing and meaningful, this puts me in mind of 'Peter Green' a great marriage of minimal sounds, cheers.

on Hybridity - a Subversive Dance by n0mad23
Just can't get enough of this track at the moment.
Seems that diversity in design really is the key to unity.

A fusion of all sorts esoteric but inviting this track is really pulling, and speaks to you in a way that is saying, "come join us, come dance with us, join hands and take flight."

Man i just love this track and will be dancing to this one for days, i got to agree with Minette you are a genius and a visionary also

Brilliant work Sean, a serious piece of music you have created.

Stephen, you are indeed one of my intended audience, so praise here carries more value than you probably realize. It was a good day indeed when we discovered each other's profiles and music. If you ever get a chance, check out the book "A Pattern Language" published in the early 1970's. It's really a blueprint for making a functional society, and one of the biggest aha's I had in it was seeing that diversity works as long as there are clear boundaries. For example, in San Fransisco China Town continues to thrive because of the natural boundaries around it. The hippies in Haight Ashbury didn't succeed because there weren't these boundaries. Neighbors worried about infiltration and declining property values helped bring it all down. Diversity when coupled with a sense of security or safety can and does work. With this track, I'm overjoyed that you feel the subversive pull and want to dance. I'm really thrilled you dig this one! Best regards my friend.

on She makes no magic anymore by FrenchKid18
Great acoustics really enjoyed this one the lyrics especially great metaphors in your song writing, good quality sound, can't think of no suggestions but i was feeling as if a shaker was going to be introduced down the line at some point, don't matter tho really enjoyed this, nice one Frenchkid

Hi Stephen,
Thanks for the nice review. The shaker is a pretty good idea cause I think the drums or percussion part mustn't be too forward in the song. Thanks for the suggestion
Cheers

i consider Ireland my spiritual home... so your words mean a lot to me. thanks for commenting. Also, I really wanted everyone who's downloaded the 'pella to get an idea of where I was going with it when I wrote it initially.
Thanks for the listen Salook!

I actually didn't know how to do a lot of stuff when I made this track. Put it together early 2008. But it came out fairly decent enough to garner a great review. Thanks Salook.

on rEvolution 3 - Forming Solid Bodies in Water by n0mad23
Hey its been a real pleasure hearing this one evolve into a finished product, that deep John Carpenter style bass really grows on you as does the overall projections.
Still has that strong scientific feel to it, lab experimentations, possible cloning.
Reading your other reviews its amazing the different imageries people get from this piece, i guess that's what ambient music does provoke the mind and draw out those 'auditory hallucinations' you speak about.

A job well done.

cheers.

You're one of my intended audience, so bare in mind that my compositions are geared to you! I'm finding considering a handful of people on this site keeps it from being too internalized and focused enough to share. Be prepared for collaborating at some point, because that comes with this perspective, too. Thanks for the feedback and encouragement, my friend.

[NOTE: Review is of draft 1]

Hello...and whats this..just checking out your profile for music and stumbled upon this...what a find!
Understandable why you would create a piece like this, sound and science seems to be the order of things.

Wow man you are showing some real diversity in style with this one, yeah this is clinical white coat material, injections and pills all in the name of science. love this deepness. well done man a great demonstration in ambient music. cheers

(Edit.where was that pella?) :)
n0mad23
n0mad23 replied Unknown
10 points to Salook for finding the first draft! It's turned into a collaboration with alividlife, and I'm still playing with the possibilities there. The next draft will be considerably different, but I'm think you'll recognize this draft behind it. The `pella is the first thing you hear, and weaves in and out throughout, but doesn't qualify as as vocals anymore except for the presence. Glad you're digging it, I really wasn't sure if anyone would.
