It's more loops than it is me, i just added a copule of sawer synths to part one, The bassline in part 2 was my own as was the synth that came in at the end. The last part was all loops. Cheers for dropping in and giving it a listen. FR
The impact of the first drop could be improved alot by gradually filtering out all the bass from everything apart from the vocal so that there is nothing at all in the last few bars before the drop except the last couple of hits from the vocal and maybe a white noise riser.. That way the compressors (if your compressors release time isn't to slow) have the time to reset and the track will hit harder when it comes back in.
Nice track and melodies tho bro. thanks for sharing
I think the main issue is the sounds you have chosen to use.
You need a stronger kick and snare. dubstep drums tend to really pop. Plus the synth sounds could use a bit of a beef up.
I would say to get yourself onto Loopmasters.com and pick up any of the HighRankin Dubstep Drum packs or failing that find some tracks by an artist called 'Rednek' then chop the drums and hits out of his tracks and you should be well on your way.
I would class this as EDM instead of deep house but thats ok :P lol
Good track guys, only thing I think letting it down is the Kick.. Edm has a HUUUUGE kick and lots of white noise sounds get those sorted and your onto a winner :)
Hey fella a few things i would say to maybe look at.
The bass is out of key with the main chord riff in places and the hi hat sounds are not as good as the kick and the snare sounds. drums could use a little swing to make them shuffle a little better.
The drums are out of key with each other a little too, getting a kick thats in tune with your bass and then tuning all your drum hits to match the key of the kick can make a huuuge difference Also some of the sounds come in a little hard/loud.
Good melodies and nice ideas I Really enjoyed the track. thank you for sharing.
Great voice you have. Really enjoyed the track, only minor critique around the 1:55/ 2 min mark I was waiting for you to really drive the vocals home but it didnt happen.
I hear ya on that for sure. I thought about it but eh, I suppose I went with the safe route. I need to start throwing it out there ha, I appreciate the listen! -Charlene
take the reverb off the kick or eq it so the bass is taken out of the reverb (cut everything below about 500hz) All tue other drum sounds need to be eqed so there is nothing below about 120hz on snares and toms and around 400/500hz on the hats and cymbals put a low shelf eq on the bass at around 200hz and lower the shelf by around 3/6db do the same thing with the kick but at about 150hz
at this point you qill need to decide to either use a smaller less bassy kick or Cut the bass off the kick at about 50 hz.
or.....
cut the bass at about 50hz to give the kick room to sit.
also the kick is a little out of key with the bass. Solo'ing the bass and kick should allow you to hear if the kick needs tuning up or down.
wouldnt worry to much about the melody georgie my friend the huuuuge club track 'Tolouse' from a couple of years ago a chris brown track both lifted a straight sample/melody from a vengeance pack and had no problems so I wouldbt worry to much about it sweety ;)
Thanks for all the comments about the track guys n girls, was really chuffed with how we ended up getting it sounding. Still needs a bit or adjusting in the mid range its a little empty but untill we get a singer and see what frequencies we have left to play with its not really worth changing it.
Yeah I've done some digging around and spoke to reFX about copyright n all that.. they don't sue their customers so we're cool lol.
There's another track on youtube with like 3million+ views that is LITERALLY a sample lifted from vengeance repeated over n over n nothing happened to that guy either. Although he did get slated a bit for it haha
I remember I made the track first n just happened across the vocal later n it fit perfectly... love it when things just come together lol.. surprised u still remember this one really
Sounds exactly like its supposed to and with a good stem master would stand toe to toe with most tracks in its genre.
one thing tho.
The track is really hard to follow or hum because the melody is (timing wise and a little chord wise) erratic.
Just my opinion but if you were to employ these sounds and the arraignment with a hummable/Whistle-able catchy version of this melody line I strongly believe it would be signed to a label.
Thats all that Avici/Otto Knows and artists like that do.
Thank you for sharing tho I loved it. and if I was looking for this type of music on a Site like Beatport I would have added it to my basket/bought it and be playing out this weekend :)
hahaha @ SeriouslyJoking, Its called a dj friendly 12" mix. the beginning is used to mix from the last track into this one when its played out in a club. did make me chuckle a little that comment lol.
Really nice chords and melody.
If you were to take all the bass out of the track as it builds, when the track comes in it will hit a little harder.
Great switch up at the 4 min mark really helps lift the track up and keep it moving.
If i had to say a couple of things it would be.
The sub bass is too deep, im not sure if you have put the filter too low or if the octave is too low but its not really very audible. maybe making a second copy with an exciter or a distortion on it and mixing it with the bass you have already would make it stick out a little more?
The leed synth lines are a little mid and bass heavy. If you were to cut them a little higher in frequency (Bout 200 ish) and have a higher octave bass line with a side chain compressor on it the track would sonically sound bigger and fuller.
If your worried about there not being enough room in the mix then just duplicate the leed line and pan one all the way left and one all the way right. then pull one of the leed lines backward or forward by a couple of milliseconds. This will give them loads of presence and width without you having to do much work and will give you room for the vocals, kick snare and bass.
I think (but not sure) that your Fx channels still have all there bass on them? taking them up to about 500hz (apart from the sub kick drop ovs ;) will stop them interfering with the rest of the track.
The master buss is compressed and limited really heavily and is causing the track lose its dynamics, this is causing sound spikes to pop out.
I know I must read like a complete Ar$ehole but Its all ment in a constructive mannor and I actually like the track alot and would love to hear it sound its best :)
Ps
The drums are superb. Pretty much cant fault them :)
If you would like me to do a stem mixdown to show you what I mean, let me know and ill video capture it as I mix it down so you can see what im doing :)
wow! you are not an amateur like me. yes it`s 12" mix ,but the beginning is still too empty and about the bass yes it`s too low meybe need to tweak up the Hz lettle bit (symsynth FL 10), but the real problem is my equipment small room and big speakers and they not stay where they should be and making music with headphones are not a very qualytative way. so the point is i`m not hearin` very well what i`m doing and that`s why happens this. i understand what are u talking about. thanks your offer that`s very kind from you, but i want this to be done myself! Cheers! :)
This would sound awesome as a European pop track with the right vocal. just needs to be constructed like a britney spears track and your laughing really.
Thanks for your words. The problem is, the vocals are only for non-commercial use (look at Farishas profile here), so - i need material from someone who wants to create something that can be commercial. ;)
Great start to the track. Love the sounds and the melodies you have made. Strings sound great too. awesome the trancy feel you have given the track. Snare is a little wooden coming into the high energy part of the track. Really good sound quality and depth of field alot better than me anyways lol.
The only things i could really pick out was the snare is a little like a machine gun/wooden and the track needs some more sub bass. Maybe try a sine wave and use long notes in stead of the stabby sub bass notes you have used. Dubstep has a very slow pace and needs loadsa sub bass in all the gaps to keep the low end energy going.
Beautiful blissfully track you have here. I loved the way all the elements work together to compliment the piece as a whole. Great use of risers and falls to build the track all the way through. Mix could maybe use a little more air in the top end but that's it.
Would love to remix this if your up for it.
Thanks again for putting up the track. I loved it.
Track has some interesting ideas but I don't think it's upto or near a standard where you can ask money for it .
I'm not sure what part of the world your from but over here in London England we have something called point blank studios which is basically a music sound and engineering course. I would recommend trying something like that to get you on the right path so you can get your audio ideas down in a more cohesive manner.
cool thanks for the feedback im sure i could learn much from the course youre talking about but i prefer to learn from people like you. Also, this is my first dubstep track i just made another one and i guarantee you will like it much better. itll be on my other profile search new5ense and the will be called hood step. vocals coming soon!:) p.s. im a fast learner anyhow taking a course would take too much time whereas if I use the resources available to me I can possibly learn more than what they teach at the school you mentioned in London. anyhow i appreciate the help.

Hi bro :)
Thanks for sharing this uplifting house piece.
Drums are good, sub bass and leeds are great. i think maybe that some of the sounds are a little thin at times and im not sure if its and over active eq hand or the synths used but, cant argue about how good the ideas melody and arraignment are.
Thank you Spudsy, and I know what you mean about the synths, the problem is not from the synths used but from the way I equalized them I guess so I m gonna check that...
Like the beginning reminds me alot of "Ten City - Thats the way love is"
Bass is good to, some of the notes resonate a little so it may be worth putting each chord on there own track and eqing them on there own other with that resonant peak will be a rite pain to remove without effecting the other notes in the bass.
I think i could do that, but being a novice i would probly bugger up the whole thing lol
I just make music as a happy hobby n keep the enjoyment factor as high as poss.!
I cant read music and i cant replicate what i do as i just do it from what sounds i like.
Being an old school loving amateur,i think all my tracks have some sound issues in them, but im not bothered really as getting any of my music liked is fantastic as it is!.
Thanks again for you tip,and i dont take offence to it,i think its great that your giving me helpful advice so big thanks.!
Her vox could maybe use being dropped a db or so and Steph's a bit flat here and there so a run through auto tune or melodyne would get that bang on the money.
great track tho bro, sound choices are spot on and arraignment is great.
