I like the ideas in this. Nice use of synths and suits the beat nicely. The levels sound OK. Some bits distort slightly but I can't really tell with the headphones im currently listening through. What software do you use? If you see it red on the master level then it's clipping. I think that this track is limited quite hard and is causing it to sound distorted slightly. Some people like that sort of thing. I generally cut no more off than 3db with digital music otherwise you can hear it distorted on good systems.
Nice work man. Very chilled! Love liquid DnB. This track reminds me of the ocean (EDIT- just realised the track is called Oceans! :D). Nice pads and use of other sounds. Bass is very smooth an calming. love it
It's been great to listen to how your music has evolved since I last heard a track by you! I wondered where you had dissapeared to! Straight away I can hear this as a Koukotsu track. You definately have a certain characteristic. Very interesting all the way through. I wish I knew where you get your ideas from. Seems to me you have become a pro at Reason automation too! Gives it that interesting unique overall sound. Fantastic work.
I'm so glad to see you are still hanging around here!
I just needed a bit of a sabbatical to get away from the madness for a while, lol. Hopefully I've grown up some since then!
Where do I get my ideas from? Tons of coffee and tea may be a factor, lol.
And you know I'm coming to hear what you've been up to while I've been away, I'm a big fan of your style and I still have Nocturnal Groove in rotation on my Ipod to this day, lol!
Hello, wow this is fantastic. I would buy this music! Very soothing. Do you play live? Reminds me of a polish band i saw once. You should play it live. That would be mesmerizing. Enjoyable right through. Thanks for sharing
wow some quality stuff here! This is fantastic. What software did you use? Are they real instruments? Nice work man. You hit that horror feeling spot on!
Thank you mate! My all time favorite soft is cubase and Complete Composer Collection from EWQL. I also use real instruments, piano, flute, electric violin, guitars and that kind of stuff=)
Nice work. Mixed very well! Nice piano and strings. The bass at 1:09 seems a little loud or needs some very small EQ cutting around the 250hz area to make it less booomy and box sounding , but that could be because of my monitors aren't really built for the real low end. I may need a sub. But anyway. The track is fantastic stuff!
Like the idea man. But that bass sounds way to loud. I dont know what it sounds like with a sub but through these headphones, all I can hear is bass. Very distorted bass. Just a mixing thing, the music itself does sound good.
wow, this is definately original to my ears. I've not heard Steve Reich but this is definately new to me and sounds very interesting. Very dreamy and thought provoking. Nice work man!
thanks for the time and i am glad i could gave you something new to expierence, preciated all.
If you have the time check out Reich and his music.
again thanks
Like the ideas in this. Got me thinking for sure. One thing I would say is the volume of the vocal seems a bit low and could not tell if it was in the same key as the music. Great work though! Love the use of synths and the throbbing side chaining going on
Mate this track is amazing. Grabbing my attention all the time. Production is phenominal. 2 things that I think would make me happy is some tuning in that vocal and the kick not so loud. Fantastic man. Fav'd
Thanks for the listen Johnny - glad you liked it!
I'm glad you came out of the woodwork - I've been meaning to contact you but couldn't remember your artist name - I'll give you a shout on your contact page later this evening!
cheers, Jamie.
wow just wow... I'm in the same situation NickQ. I can't think of anything that would improve what is already a great sounding track. Very creative! Just... wow :D
Thanks!! I'm glad that you liked it!!!!
I know I have to work more on the EQ (I made it at home, without studio monitors -.-'') and then I'll make an extended version, and maybe a remix ;)
