Love the layered sounds - that is fkn grrrreat. I know?!!?!?! why no pop!! it's weird. this is really cool man. again, reminds of a track i have done at some time or another, it was a while ago. And this is definitely much more radio-flavor ready. This is ready to go if it had some vocals with it, then it could play on the radio today. Great work man.
This is GREAT. I love music like this and this is a great grrrrreat example of it. Love the melody. Yeh, I think you've gotten better, but this really rocks. You should update it!!
Thanks for your input. I wish I could update many of my old songs but I think I no loner have the loops. But I will be uploading some more of my good older tracks next week since I have uploaded 5 songs this week
Wow. I didn't think I'd ever heard this, but it sounds sweetly stirring that I must have heard this way back when I first joined, b/c I remember that descrip and I think I remember this wonderful moving feeling - like I see just 10a, bright day outside, sunny apt, uk. I'm probably way off. I better go reread the description.
this is really great.
wow really really really really really cool concept, seriously, to chronicle the events of the time in song. so very moving. kind of the coolest concept I've ever heard, actually. way to go Shan. I'm quite amazed.
Heh cool rapping!
This track has got a lot, in this moment, it's got it all. Lovely music, lovely vocals, emotion, freshness, even ages later. Very fresh. Fav'd, cheered.
What's your friend up to these days? Love the voice!
There's something amazing about youth and music. Dude when you were 12? Wow. This is really really cool. I love the melodies and omg you are talented those strings that come in are amazing and perfect. If anything, the phasing on the synth kinda lends to a muddleness as everything plays together, but apart from that, this is a solid track that deserves to continue evolution b/c it could a very affective, moving and epic song way beyond genre, but in the soul. Great work!!
Wow...You make it sound like this song was the beginning of music itself? haha Thank you very very much. Its always been my favorite because I was in a pretty depressed time in my life and I was just coming out of it. So it was.."After The Rain"
I LOVE looking through your track list!!! With no one else's track list have I ever felt like each title is just it's whole own universe of fresh, glossy rooted all the way back to the start and with it's paws in tomorrow, all wrapped up and propriately labeled, ready for consumption. this is exactly like an idea i was thinking about earlier today that i might do for my next "epic" thing. like i was reading a bit in a book on mythology, and was thinking how interesting that these stories that were written 1000-3000 years ago written way back then are still received today, and how far technology has come, and how we here on this site kind of create a universe of perception in our tracks, and where the technology will be quickly - able to create entirely absorbing multimedia experiences and share them across the web, got your cool holo helmet or whatever - and just the possibilities ...... of course, that one day, you wake up, and all your life was virtual and you were growing in some dude's bathtub while he harvested you for teeth and organs. eeew. Lovely universe around me now man. i love this track. so not budging in texture and sticky grit, but still cool and smooth as it glides up past me rough. lovely.
This collection is actually an self-conscious examination of my own mythology and symbolic system, so you've nailed that one on the head! For my next 'epic' work, I'd like to identify and articulate the archetypes that have arisen in the last 30 years but are still invisible on the conscious level. To do this, it seems that first it's important to understand my own means of apprehension. Hence the "Totems from the Diaspora," as the prequel to what's coming. I'm convinced by thoughtfully examining history (and nonHistory) we can thwart any nightmare futures - but it does take effort and personal responsibility. Art has always been the premonitions or forecasts of what might come. It sure gives a different sense of the responsibility of dreaming, doesn't it. Thanks for the fabulous review, friend!
wow that is my kind of descrip. this is so nice. where's bigfoot? i just see the soft winged sound of strings soaring low through the forest, and it's beautiful. lovely work. it almost sounds just shy of breaking into the "battle of evermore". lovely!
It's amazing how music stirs the imagination..I can "see" what you mean about the winged sound of strings, sort of eagle in effortless flight. thanks again for another kind review.
i wish i knew what HFBWL. i can't figure it out. maybe it is what it is. or what google just said it was. this is cool. it kinda is in the fuzzy line between neofuturistic and modern slightly futuristic transish hip hop sounds. the acapella is crazy insane, and you real melded all around it well. i would say if anything, carve a couple more slices of the spectrum out of either entity, the acapella or the music, so there is just a tinge bit more room and maybe a micron of space between them. but then again, this super complete meld does sound reallly really good. great work
we do need a "beyond current genres but not quite ''''weird''''" either. cuz this is cooler than weird. damn it. hobnox? funny name. i'll check it out. it's like an online music maker thing... .hmmm....
man i would love to work with ya. you make great stuff, i think it would even be a blast to just comb slight fx through your tracks as are. you do got "somethin" to ya stuff. cheerio.
it sounds like pac's disfunction is pretty consistent and cyclic - i think it might be chronic depression. i mean he sounds like he probably doesn't even look like himself. like his top half is flipped upside down and juxtaposed adjacently to his lower jaw. fkn yellow ball. jeez. pacman. dotbot. bitwit. yeh, your trippy a$$ pacman visual >< audio cross referencing thing just pulled the square blocks through the triangle slots in my mind. i can't say it wasn't fun, i actually like that kinda thing A LOT. SO thanks man. You've got really cool tracks. what do you do to make them? i should read your prof. cheers!
this is ... lol .... what are you playin in this church. i can say this is very cool. i am usually not lost for words - i think that means this is so cool and fresh that i just can't do anything but admire it. hmmm. abe was sayin and wow it's true - you are quite good!!!!
feels good to be a moron. nice job!! like seriously - something about this just washes my head and brain over with good feelings. is this like one of those "sinusoidal" brain wave deals?
this is fkn awesome. some of the coolest rhythm i've heard in a flow in a long time. this is a very cool one. wow. you are probably very very cool to work with, i really like what you're doing. sssssgot me movin.
Wow i love this. so something i connect with, i feel like its coming out through the blood in my veins as i hear it. this is beautiful. so impressed. the movement and curves of the sounds are rich and interesting.
hell yeh cool experiment. so someone is getting shot kinda far away, desolate day in teh city outskirts, industrial. bleak. things aren't too great. there's bad things going on just out of site, back there in those buildings, over by that underpass. there could even be something kinda evil going on, or it might just be night time instead. there's definitely a darkness growing. wow. war. this situation is just getting worse and worse. the war is catching up with me fast, and it seems it will soon surround me. pretty scary sh man. actually has my adrenaline going, so THERE YA GO!!! YOU DID A GREAT JOB, and the music did what it should have done. when the music starts gettin pretty crazy, i don't think i should go on what that is painting in my head as fascinating as it might be, it will probably not be very useful. GREAT WORK BRO. keep it up.
Thanx mate!appreciate the review! My ultimate idea is a concept album.Dig this:soundtrack to a movie never made. Collection of songs that carry same ideaas this.Hard pill to swallow? yes. For everyone? no. Commercial appeal? probably not. But who cares...I would like to know what you think though.
ew love that sound. reminds me of war of the worlds, right before they blast everyone they sound the death horn. this is vry cool, good reason work. hektor is so cool. really great job workin with his vocals, this melds perfectly. good work.
heh I loved the descrip ... big chorus...!! BOOM!!! "Ok, so some of u guys may remember .... I thought you were saying imagine if the dj stopped the music right at the climax and started explaining his remix. lol.
