on rEvolution - The Ancestral Taunts by n0mad23
Hey Sean, mate you had me hooked on this one right from the start, liking the whole piece, parts seem to have a middle eastern flavour, which has a very nice feel, nice beat, like the vocals that you have used, and the story they are telling, sounds like this one would have taken a bit of work to get everything to work as well has it has done, very enjoyable listen my friend...fav'd...Peace matey...Estefano...

on Babylon Crackers - Roll and Tumble by n0mad23
G'day my friend

Very nice dose of the blues here, have to agree with Johns thoughts on this one, it does have a very raw sound to it, that also appeals to me, sounds like a few guys, having a fun jam session, nice beat, sounds a little like a satir?? think that is the word, or guitar??, nice bluesy vocals is doing the trick in this piece, this is one very enjoyable listen Mate, so pleased you shared this with us loopers...fav'd...Peace n Respect...Estefano...

"Raw" and "ramshackle" - lol. Yeah, the Babylon Crackers were all about playing it live at gigs, so all our recordings were straight up "dial in and press record" approach. Our recordings sound just like our live gigs. The sitar you hear is probably the balalaika (or perhaps guitar, or both as they blend so well here). The balalaika is actually a Russian instrument and is traditionally played with tremolo strumming (think the soundtrack to Dr. Zhivago) but I play it more like a West African molo or maybe the banjo - lots of picking and bending of strings. The four of us definitely had the Right musical affinity. Miss those jams....

on euphoria two point zero by shamas
Hi Shamas

Nice piece, I have the same samples you have used here, not sure if I still have track up or not on profile that I used them in??, good solid beat, nice vocals, to me has more of a techno/rave feel rather then trance, over all not bad, maybe little long, prob with the samples used maybe 4 to 5 minutes max rather then any longer, as I found working with the same samples when working on my piece, they get a little boring for a track any longer then 4 to 5 minutes....Peace mate...Hope all is good with you and family...Estefano...

on panic in a structure by thyroid
Hey thyroid

Wow what a dark piece, very dramatic, very nice pads and FX, liking the choir pad/vocals, very nice strings, the clarity of this mix is very good, very clear, seems to be a lot going on in this piece, but working well together not to cluttered, each part still having it place in the piece, without drowning out any of the other parts, really enjoyed this one for sure...Fav'd...Peace n Respect mate...Estefano...

on DJ DtagoN-2 Passions by DJsDragoN
Hello my friend

Good to see another track from you, been awhile lol, great solid beat, wicked bassline mate, nice synths, progressive type of trance piece this one, good clarity my friend, maybe you could have brought in some more elements earlier in the mix, to keep the listener interested, as it does basically sound the same the whole way through, you need to have something a little different coming in often so you keep the listener wanting more, hope you dont mind me saying what I have, but it is to help you grow and become better my friend...peace n Respect...Estefano...

Hey Ste

mate liking the intro with the housy type of synth/pads at the intro, nice clean sounding beat, good beat pattern, this has a very much house sound and feel to me, great dubstep bass man, this is one very chillout type of piece, which is really appealing to me, very nice work indeed my friend, well done on this one, again very short Ste?? Oh well I absolutely enjoyed what I got to hear my friend, Fav'd...Peace n Respect...Estefano...

3 minutes is more than you guys normally get from me, so in that sense this is still quite a long track. Glad that you enjoyed it while it lasted though.

on Against My Will by Alen9R
Hey Alen

like the intro here Alen, very sweet, nice string type of pad working well with the piano, not 100% sure about the beat, does sort of work, but also, seems to break up the piece a little?? In saying that the flow of the music, flows but beat seems to be a little jaggered compared to the rest of the track, maybe it is the trance in me coming out lol, with all that said I did enjoy the track as i do with all your works my friend...Peace n Respect Alen...Estefano....

Back to check out this version with the bassline change, heaps better, bassline has given it far more drive now, on thing I think would make it even a tad better would be to give it some african native vocal, some chants through out maybe, to break up the mix a little, but it sounds great as is my friend, really like the changes, very good WaPer....Will respond back to your email, when I get a chance okies, wont be for a day or two...Peace..Estefano...

on Africa in Trance by WaPer
Hey my friend

Cool first to review one of your tracks, firstly have to say never heard a trance piece with the synths etc you have used, but in saying that I totally love the concept, african trance for sure, I would say maybe lift the bassline up a bit more to give it a little more deeper drive, arrangement and the clarity of the mix is spot on, very interest from you matey, very enjoyable listen...fav'd...Peace n Respect mate...Estefano...
WaPer
WaPer replied Unknown
Cool Estefano, i like you are first reviewer of this track. Well, its very simple arrangement with wooden xylophone, arpegiated marimba and gated vox. Other instruments are used for some effects to make the tune busier (modifyed bongo and hi hat lines i found in my huge collection), shaker, gated cuica and vibraslap for FX's ... and finally jungle ambient loop... very simple tune with less instruments. Only synth is delayed pad and bass... What you mean i have to do with bass line?
