I don't understand why, but I've tried to reply to your comment several times at this point... it keep tripping some sort of security issue on the server.
Suffice it to say that your comment is much appreciated! It's good to have you hear to listen to my stuff! Thanks!
I see your mixing has gotten better. Fruity EQ or have you found fabfilters Q2? Lol, but I will say some of your transition samples are VERY loud and can easily be pushed back in the mix way more then they are at the moment, and some of the saw leads are really harsh on the high end. Music wise and structure wise on this track, its perfect. The creativity is blossoming intensely here, and structurally it is composed for chills up your spine. Just work on the technical bit and you have yourself some air play for sure! Great work, thanks for the tune.
If you'd like, we can mix the track for you for free. We see plenty of potential in this and it would be a real shame if a track this good went to waste.= because of a "bad mix".
I'd say some slight mixing fixes and you can get this played by Armada records! Amazing melodies... and such an aggressive bassline. Love it love it LOVE IT!!!
Armada yeah, that would be a dream. Or at least Who's Afraid of 138? maybe.
Mixing definitely needs work yes. My problem for this track was that I did a mix down, went into mastering with a reference track but then found that I wanted/had to make huge mixing changes. And that happened several times. Oh well, its all a learning experience; each track should get better and better.
Haha, I wish I knew music theory to learn how to do some of this stuff you had done in this track. I'm taking theory 1 this year in highschool, and I had taken a test to see what I know so far. The teacher looked at the front page of my packet and had said, "well, now I know you play compose completely by ear". Hopefully by the end of this year I can at last do a fraction of some of the harmonies you had implemented here! Great work.
Hi. I'm glad you like the track. I just learnt to play chords on the piano and guitar, then messed about with them until I understood them better.
You've been given a massive head start by being able to compose by ear. And you will be able to make vastly more complex compositions if you understand the theory as well.
Good luck in your future studies. I look forward to hearing what you create.
Ok, the idea and layout is perfect, maybe a few more FX here and there but that's whatever. I'll tell you what is holding the song back; the mix and the master. The mix is.... not good to say the least. And the master? You can hear that you probably put a compressor and just cranked it, then put fruity limiter over it. Not a good mixture at all, both the mix and master are elements holding this track back from getting signed to something like NCS. NCS would 100% pick this track up if you contacted them with a PROPER mix and master. I would be more then happy to mix/master this track if you asked. Thanks for the good tune!
As always, the chord progression is great and solid. Is that pluck the Z3TA patch or is it the massive one? It needs some of the lows EQ'ed. And maybe that saw in the high end that comes in about 0:27 can play a bit more of a catchier hook by moving up and down the music scale a little more. Other then that, this track is as solid as most of your other works! Thanks for the track man.
The pluck is my Massive one. I'm not too fond of the Z3TA patch anymore. I've spent a total of like 3 hours with this so far. and most of that was just making the chords. So I'm not surprised it needs EQ'ed. I plan on working on this more after I get off work tonight
