Cool deal! This is a nice change for you. I'm not familiar with what the dirty south is supposed to sound like either. I think you did an awesome job of arranging and mixing this track. I like all of the different effects that come and go. Great use of the stereo field. Those are some fantastic loops to work with. This song doesn't sound like anything I've heard before. I also feel that this would be great for a motion picture soundtrack. Maximum props to ya bro.

Thanks for the review, bro. I think this style was so new to me (as well) that I really didn't like this track at first. But the more I listened to it, the more I began to understand it. It was one of those songs that kind of created itself.

This is another fun track to listen to. It sounds like your learning good the art of making house music. I kind of like the beeps and chirps. I think you've got a lot of talent and ability to make quality tracks. Keep making the good stuff!

This reminds me of some music by DJ Krush. Now saying that, this is some terrific lounge style of hip hop. I guess that's just my opinion. Great job!

Interesting sound. I've never heard Polish rap before. It almost reminded me of ragga-muffin dance hall chatting. The production sounded pretty good. keep it up IDrop!

I guess you could call it Ambient Tech if you wanted. It's been a while since I've heard this track. It has some nice flow to it. I like how it breaks down around 2:40 with just the drum and bass and then it goes into a harder more tech sound. This is really a sweet sounding tune It has a little bit of everything all rolled up into one. This is an oldie but a goodie!

on Sekko - For My Cocaine by Sekko
This is some great techno. It seems to have a nice and hard German sound to it. It reminds me a little of the Sequential One sound from the 90's. I like the lead synth on this tune. Very good stuff!

Thanks man! It seems like in most of my latest tracks everyone says they have a 90's hardcore feel :D Which is cool, I love hard techno. And I'm glad you like the lead, it's my special thing, this is the second track I use it in. It can handle alot pretty well. Thanks for the review!

This is a great composition and arrangement. You mixed this track nicely! Everything flows together. I especially like the the deep plucky bass with the Electric Piano arpeggio. Those strings are so very dreamy and mood creating. This is a favorite for sure. Well done larz, well done!

This track is full of chilling sounds. You masterfully arranged this track with a series of sound fx and synth to create a very chilling experience through Europa's winter. You have completely painted the auditory canvas with some amazing sounds. Great job!

on Electric Shark by Po5eidon
Techno Jawz! Yeah, I can hear a faint kick in this track. You might try setting your drums at a level of -5 or -6 db and then run it through a limiter. This should prevent the drums from clipping and also give it a bit of punchyness. If your are getting conflicts with the bass and the kick you can change the EQ levels on one or the other to offset the frequencies so that there is not an issue. Over all the composition and arrangement of this track sounds pretty good. The overall track volume level could be turned up some. You could even limit the master volume so that the track plays at a proper volume with out clipping. I know this is a lengthy review, but I hope it helps you to some degree. Good luck with this track. I'm looking forward to hearing a new update to this track.

Keep up the hard work!

This one...just keeps haunting me. I've messed with EQ, and I may again, but it's also messing with volume that screws me up. We'll see...for now, I'm working on new stuff and letting people enjoy the synths from this one.

on They Killed My Partner by Po5eidon
I like how you laid out the scene for this track. It helps to understand the mood of the two parts of this song. The first part being sad and retrospective, and then a nice transition into the action part of the track. This reminds me of some music that I use to hear on some of the SuperNES Games. I don't know if I would touch the EQ on this track that much if any. The second half of this track has a victorious sound to it. Nice emotions that you conveyed through this song.

Thanks, man. This was one of two songs that stemmed from an unusual idea. This one has been well-received so far, but I'm not sure the other one would be as liked. This is my "What if I did '80s cop drama?" The other is "How 'bout a song where a kid gets bored in church?" That one even has iPod clicks.

on Mermaid Love by Po5eidon
This is definitely a chill out track. I really like the sparkle the lead synth has. The synths have an 80's sound, almost like a Roland Juno Synthesizer. The String pads are quite nice. You could also classify this track maybe as Electro. It is very reminiscent of early Depche Mode.

Töddj
Po5eidon
Po5eidon replied Unknown
I guess I could, but "electro" makes me think "robotic" for some reason. I would actually classify it as "ambient groove," but I didn't have that option here. Another one of my favorites, though.

That's pretty cool that you did this while in High school. I've used eJay to make music also and have used eJay samples. This track builds up nicely. It has a lot of nice sci-fi sounds to it. All though it doesn't have the normal beat structure for most trance It seems to work nicely for what you were doing. You could call this style Sci-Trance.

I find most of my stuff doesn't follow usual formulas. Sometimes, it irritates me. Other times, I get cool songs like this.

on Military Zone Feat Farisha by renofr
Nice job! You worked with Farisha's Acappella nicely. This is a nice trance tune! Good job composing this tune. Just one thing i did notice, it sounds like the track started to clip and distort when the kick first started. That's nothing that a little level adjustment and mabey some limiting on the kick won't cure. I hope that helps. Keep up the good work.

Many thanks for your comment and your advice. About the kick, I have tried to lower it, but now maybe the 'percussions' at the end of each bar are too 'high'... Whew :-)

on Wake up by BlackKasper
You could consider this as ambient hip hop. I really love the chilled groove. It almost has a slowed down tech feel. I could be wrong, but i think some kind of scratches added to this track would add nicely. But that's just what I'm hearing in my mind. This is a really nice tune though.
BlackKasper

More isn't always better. Sometimes less is. I think you proved that, with this oh so smooth hip hop track. Very Cool! This is the kind of track that will calm you down after rough day. I really like how you sliced the vocal sample up. It reminds me of an old verve jazz vocalist. Great job BlackKasper!

on New Generation ( Instrumental ) by JamesDavies
laying down your own drum tracks aren't the easiest thing to accomplish. It really sounds like you have been working on it. Try to start out with a basic beat using just the kick and a snare. Then you can always layer a high hat or some combination of various percussion. I agree that something like a bum tschak bum bum tschak is a good place to start. The synth tracks sound okay. It sounds like you have a bit of an oriental melody going on. I like that. You are doing better at keeping everything in the track synchronized. Keep working an practicing, it's definitely paying off.

on When dark falls by edwin1976
This is a wonderfully produced tune! You have filled the audio spectrum with all the essential frequencies. The kick has just the right amount of punchyness to it. I really love the instrumental arrangement. This would make a very good soundtrack for a movie, tv show, or video game. Although it seems to be a bit on the short side, That doesn't detract from how great this track is. So you deserve my highest regards.

Cheers,
Töddj
