Great job on this fine quality production. A very nicely chilled atmosphere you've created with this track. I wanted to listen to it right from the intro.
This is some pretty good dubstep! I just happened to here this track with AnomalyJ's vocal styling on it. I thought I would come check out the original instrumental version. I must say, you did a great job with this arrangement. I really like the drops and the wobbles! Very good mix!
hey thanks for the words man... check out my track 'haha' for a look at where i'm tryin to go with my music... epic drop in that one... have been having a lot of trouble writing lately, not sure why but i've had the worst writers block ever not even the headiest of heads has been able to help me get past it hah
It's always good to be able to look back at what you did and appreciate it. A lot of times I'll say,"That doesn't sound half bad.", to something I did years ago.
Really this track sounds very well put together. Genre wise it does sound like it has a mixture of house and trance. I guess that's what you call progressive. I have a hard time classifying my music at times. Anyway, this is a good track!
Very nice! I like the way the string sounding instruments compliment each other. The one sounds like a violin and the other is like a piano or a dulcimer. This track would work well as a soundtrack. I like the originality!
I would have to say that this is a truly superior production. I enjoyed every second of it. The one thing I like is that you have a sound all of your own. It's not really like anything I've heard before. Great job! Thanks for sharing.
You can really hear the live mixing in this sound with the dubbing process and the reverb. It sounds like you are mixing this song live in a club somewhere. Very cool mix of music. By the way, I got to listen to your conversational interview with nomad32. I truly enjoyed listening to it. I'm not sure why I've never listened to your work before now. I've had some reggae influences and am familiar with the art of dub somewhat, so I can appreciate what you do. Great job!
I can't believe I've never taking a good listen to such a wonderful sounding and produced track. I felt I would be amiss if I didn't leave a comment. I found your link in the forum in the ambient logbook. Wow! There are so many great textures of sound. The percussion is definitely one of the keys to making this track work. I also luv that deep dub bass that plays off in the back ground. There is a trip hop feel from the very get go. The dark mood and atmosphere reminds me of a Massive Attack track. Very dreamy and ethnocentric. I love this great work of art!
Sorry for the late reply here - I've been falling behind both in reviewing tracks and responding to reviews as well. Must be a seasonal thing....
Glad you found this one. Definitely a moment of true inspiration behind this one, and it rendered out really well too. Shoot me an email if you'd like a copy, and I'll send it out in either 128 or 320 kbs format for you! Thanks for the listen and review!
Very nice ambiance you've created with this chilled out track. It gives me that nice airy feeling, like floating on those big white fluffy clouds in the sky. Great job!
Repetitive or not, this song has some nice quality synths and keyboard playing. Lovely arpeggios. It does have a certain Asian flair to it in those arpeggios. Good job!
Although this is just a rough cut, and would work well as a demo. The message of the song is what rings true. So well written, too bad more people just don't give love a chance. Nice job. That's great that your girlfriend can make music with you. I like your vocal style also.
thanks for your great comment..glad you heard the message...and it is fun to have my girlfriend play on some of my songs..now just goota find a better beat to it...peace Dvibe
It sounds very nicely done D! I agree it has a nice chilled out lounge sound to it. You can still hear the jazz roots of this song with the electric guitar which sounds fabulous and the rhodes sounding electric piano. Nice riffs! Very creative!
Great sound! Takes me way back to the New Wave Pop sound of the eighties, that for some reason I didn't get to hear a whole lot of when I was a kid. Very well done! Also, nice use of the vocal accapella.
thanks toddj. i havent posted any music online for a few years now so i thought i would give it ago. your feedback has inspired me to carry on doing so. thanks. simonm
Another great track! I like the deep ambient and house feel that this track brings. You've got a talent for making quality sounding music. I like the opening samples that you used that sounds like a pin ball machine or some kind of machine.
I like the heavy techno beat. This song has a lot of cool psy sound fx. I'm familiar enough with this style, to be able to say that is sounds similar to other songs I've heard in this genre. Very amazing and dark feel you've created in this track. Nice Job!
Sounds like a South Park character doing a dancehall chat to this electro sounding dubsetp. Very cool production. The lead synth sound like something out of an old video game. Nice grit on this track, a lot of cool 8bit sound.
I was just thinking the same thing, that it sounds like a Black Eye Peas song. Very good song writing. It seems to me that the kick needs a little more umph to it. Other then that this track sounds great. I agree that people could the have courtesy, to at least leave some kind of comment especially if they like it enough to download it.
Sounds Great Steph! I agree that you did it better than Brittney. I like your voice much better! Maximum accolades, quite the talented feat to produce in just one days worth of work.
