I think the vocal performance is good but the recording quality is terrible. I'm not sure which microphone was used but it sounds muffled; I wouldn't be surprised if it was a headset mic.

You should also add bass, the song sounds empty without one. Just those two things would make this song so much better. The other source material is fine - the drum samples sound nice and dynamic, the guitar loop is really nice and the vocals are well-delivered and catchy. I like how nothing is over-processed either.

There could have been more variation and depth too, like some more interesting fills or rising/falling sound effects or background pedal notes like in those pop Afrobeat tracks.

Thank you so much for taking the time to listen and for the detailed feedback. I really appreciate it, and I definitely won't take your advice for granted.

I'm actually very new to working with loops, so this has been a learning experience for me. As for the vocals, I recorded them with a Shure SM7dB routed through a Focusrite interface, and I track my vocals in Adobe Audition 1.5. Of course, that's not an excuse for how the recording came across to you. If it sounded muffled, then that's something I clearly need to work on.

It could be my recording settings or the way I mix. One of the reasons I enjoy my journey on Looperman is that I get to meet people like you. I've also come across other great folks here who have helped shape my understanding of the craft and deepen my appreciation for the art.

I never claim to be a professional. I simply love making music and keep learning with every song I create. Your comments about adding bass, creating more variation, and introducing more movement with fills, effects, and background textures are all noted, and I'll definitely keep them in mind for future projects.

It's nice, I really like the pitch-sliding chords at 1:57. Was the impact sound at the start also made with 3xOsc? That's the only one that sounds like a sample, maybe the other rumbles too. The brass-like synth at 2:52 was awesome and the atmosphere was so well done. It sounds like entering some sort of industrial space facility

Yes, the impact was also made using 3xOsc, with Disperser and reverb on the effects. Glad you liked it!

This is so clean. Not sure if you've heard of Direct but I instantly thought of his music when I heard this. I guess a similar track would be 'Too Far Away', but I prefer this to be honest. Yours has a more sinister atmosphere and the vocal chops are so good.

It's nice. Among the drums there's a little rim-shot or tapping sound that I found quite distracting; I think it's around 5 kilohertz. It's also possible the drums as a whole are a little too loud. We'd be able to hear your vocals better if you brought them down but that balance is always up to personal taste. It could do with a bassline too but not necessarily. I think the breathy timbre of the vocals works with the song really well.

I love the production, especially the synth that comes in at 45 seconds. I thought the mix bus compression was a little much; I can hear it pushing and pulling when the drums are playing. Maybe have another look at that but regardless this is fire
