Wayne, this has a nice throw back sound to it, I really like your vocals with this, they go really well with the style of the track. Jim's guitar is awesome, has a great tone and really cool licks to it. Thanks for sharing this and has a great sound that we don't always get here on the loop.
Thanks Kyle! Jim can play the guitar really good and it's fun to watch him play. One hell of a stand up bass player too! I hope to get some tracks of him playing on one of many vintage Kay basses he has.
Thanks for listening the details. All the track are made of midis this time. choir vst is Olympus elements of soundiron . Others is from Jay bass, active strikes Native instruments and keyboard arpeggio is from Xpand2 of Air music tech which is free just now. this mix is elaborated by using cubase morphing filter on the choir for not to become sticky to ear. See you soon again!
thank you very much for your feelings towards my instrumental
I am just trying to make my emotions feel through my instru and I hope to give emotion
the theme of this instrumental was to change my life from my birth to the current day, I did a little video in pictures of my youth to my present days that I posted on youtube
Man dude this is awesome, your voice is killer. Great vibe to to it, I was skeptical at listening to a "pop" track just because I am not normally a fan because of the broadness of the genre but this track is a gem, lyrics are great, overall sound quality is very pro sounding. Good job on this and thanks for sharing.
Nice track I think the song is pretty good, there seems to be a little bit of extra noise in the track, a hissing noise I guess. This could be because of how loud you are recording. What is your input level set at? I typically record at about -6db so that it allows some head room to compress and eq,etc. It helps cut down on the hissing and other noise as well. Other than that I thought it was a good track. Thanks for sharing with us.
thanks for the comment Improv, And yeah.. I think I was trying to get the gain AS " HOT " ? As possible without clipping.. theres a few od noises I hear in there ...lol... and to much effect as well.. and sounds thin to me as well.. Im going to re-record the whole thing and maybe try to lower my input level ? I think I had it at staying fairly steady at-4db at its peak ? does that sound right ? and it was at the really hot spots going a little over that.. you can also hear me breathing during my solo...lol... but yeah.. I greatly appreciate your comments and direction feel free to give as much advice, direction etc.. as you feel..=O) As I am here to learn everything I can... Oh.. and lastly.. Im wanting to get a bass.. and throw in there which Im hoping makes the guitar sound less tiney ? Or rounds out the low end.. ?..
The song is good but you asked for suggestions on the mix. The track is muddy sounding. In parts of the song the music drowns out your vocals, although you might need to compress them to bring the dynamics closer together, which would help. The eq I mentioned are some settings you can use if you put an eq on your master bus (the channel that everything is going into). Cakewalk comes with a nice EQ that will work for this. My mixes are not perfect by any means, not even close actually, but I do understand the principles of mixing, putting into practice effectively is another story. Working with audio is an art, some people are naturals and some are not. I am in the are not category, but I try to improve by gaining insight.
I know I am sorry I've been out of the loop so long it took me awhile to figure out what you were saying. I didn't mean to come off like that. I appreciate your suggestions deeply and tried my best to make it sound better. Have another listen please, Andriella demo remixed.
Hey the drums in this are awesome, as far as mixing the vocals are a bit drowned out in some spots. The track itself sounds like it needs to go through a high pass filter which might be done on the drums and bass to help get some of the conflicting frequencies to stand out and to get some of the muddiness out. Try putting an EQ on your master bus and roll off (high pass filter) at around 20-25hz, then scoop around -1db at 450hz, then at 6.5 kHz bump it up by about 1 db, lastly at 10kHz bump it up by 1.5 db. I do this on every track and it clears the overall mix up right away and makes it easier to mix. Of course you might need to add a second eq on the MB after you compress. It also makes it easier when you are eqing on the individual tracks.
Not normally a DnB kind of person but this is awesome, love the intro and everything just meshes together nicely. Good job on the mix. Thanks for sharing.
Hey nice I really like your vocals. The acoustic sounds a little thin, did you direct plug it or did you mic it, to me it sounds direct plug. Other than the acoustic I think the overall track was great, a really nice traditional country sound which I like. Good job and thanks for sharing.
Hey Brado, the quality of the track is great, the guitars sound full and have an overall big sound to them. It amazes me how great your tracks sound. I think you are a natural at this stuff, I think recording and mixing is an art like painting, with practice people can get better but some are just naturally gifted. You defiantly fall into the gifted category and practice just takes you up even further. Are planning on creating a track with that riff? I think it has a lot emotion and could really be a great song. Anyway good job
Thanks IWE! Sorry it took so long for me to reply, I've been busy with university work! I am hoping to add some vocals to this but I've been having a little bit of trouble getting vocals to sit the way I want them to on the track. I'm considering going to Mahloo as he has already offered his services :) We shall see though, I might be able to get it down. Haha! Best to you man!
Nice job on this Brado reminds of something that Jars of Clay would do. I always like a good acoustic track and this is no exception, even without vocals it is topnotch. Keep up the good work!!
Nice job on this Brado, well produced as always. It reminds of something out of the 90's a little like Counting Crows or Goo Goo Dolls. Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.
Good track, it has nice sound to it. I don't play games but I think it would make a nice track for a game. Did you use FL Studio to make this, the guitar sounds like their Slayer plugin.
Wow nice track here, its a very catchy track, the vocals and music really mesh together nicely. The track has a nice big sound to it. Great intro, and ending as well. Well done on this, thanks for sharing.
Mate thank you for the review, yes have to agree it has a little bit of a catchy feel to it, also a middle eastern feel as well especially the intro, very pleased you enjoyed it...Peace...mosaic...
I liked this track man, has a nice chilled vibe to it. What did you use for the "pad sound" in the beginning, and is the violin real or a vst? Pretty cool song man, thanks for sharing?
Thanks but, I am a terrible mixer. I work with Logic 9 and I the track sounds fine in Logic. The moment I bounce the tracks it just sounds so different. If you have advice or wouldn't mind mixing it for me that would be cool.
Man Brado, I think really think you are the best on this site when it comes to your productions, songwriting, etc. I am always blown away with everything you upload, I don't know what your musical goals are but if you are wanting to make it to the radio I think its just a matter of time for you. Keep it up man!! Kyle
Thanks IWE, I've been working to improve my production skills and Pro Tools 12 has definitely helped me to improve that. I'm just working at it, improving my songwriting and lyrical skills.

Peace.
