I can hear this as a 70's song, possibly some motown, or a more milleniumized rnb sound. It really is a nice track. Seems like it's missing something, but with some clever creativitiy sometimes simple is all ya need.
But keep working on it, cuz it's a little short :-)

The vocals after the first hook were a bit low, had to listen hard, but the "other vocal samples thrown in", that was a fabulous idea! Your ability to make muzical life mellow is alright with me :-)! And it's ok to push the envelope, just right!
