on Return Of The Hobbit Two by DijamMusic
This is awesome, I love it.

Took me on a real journey... somewhere.

Such a great rhythm to it, was tapping my feet and nodding my head right the way through, and just didn't want it to end.

Thanks for sharing :)

on There she goes by nln1
Love the vibe. Vocals are really cool, but would have loved to have heard you maybe belting it out a little more nearer the end as it built up.

Really nice sound though, love it. Thanks for sharing :)

appreciate it! i don't have the confidence using my vocals but maybe i should at least try giving it my all when it comes to that despite my nerves.

thank you!

on x Pure by Someonenew
Very nice tune.

Although I think some gentle vocals could really take this up a few levels, it just feels ripe for it.

Really like the style of the piano though.

Thanks for sharing :)

on The Whole World by ImproveWithError
Awesome song, love it. I'm blown away by the fact that you also play all the instruments.

Only thing I would like more of is to hear your voice cutting through the mix, you've got a great voice with a real nice tone, and feel that it should be more prominent in the song.

Other than that, thanks for sharing :)

on Strange Jazz by Indieground
Love the ambience, the drums and the bass, although it seems to be crying out for a bit of vocals.

In my mind it would be a husky sounding female, whispering or talking quietly.

Really enjoyed that, thanks for sharing :)

on Tell Me TWO - CAP - FULL SONG by tsochai
I might have said this before, but you really remind me of Doctor Octogan.

Love the tune, and the message, it's something we can all relate to at one point or another.

And this is so much better to my ears than commercial gangster rap as well, could quite happily listen to a full album of yours. Keep up the good work my friend, and thanks for sharing :)

on My Second Cup - By RoNaBO by ronabo
Absolutely love the sax riff.

If you managed to make this in between cups of coffee, then that is some talent.

Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to hear more in the future :)

ronabo replied 21st Dec 2018 - 6 years ago
Hey MildPeril, I am glad you enjoyed the sax riff. Ha ha... It doesn't take much time to create a track like this. If you notice I am repeating several areas with minor variations in each loop. I play some smooth jazz chords in the bridge\change to break up the monotony. The sax if fun to solo so I find myself using it too much. I am going to create a trumpet solo track soon. Stand by. Thanks for your comments and the FAV.

Ronabo.

on Marnie Grant - Atmosphere by MarnieG
Always loved your music Marnie, just a shame we don't get to hear more of it.

Would be great to do another song with one of your instrumentals sometime, as I really enjoyed singing over the top of them, and still practice with one or two of them from time to time.

Really hope to see you uploading again in the near future.

on Somethings Not right by davepowell1
Great tune. Lyrics once again are well on point, and clearly put forward a message (if that makes any sense?) which isn't always so easy to do.

Only small criticism is to let that great voice of yours cut through the mix a little more.

Other than that, really loved it. Thank you!
davepowell1
davepowell1 replied 21st Jun 2018 - 7 years ago
Criticism is welcome... and deserved. I have so much going on that I have a hard time staying focused on any one thing. My recording skills suck and it shows. Still.... I get great pleasure writing, singing and performing. Thank you for taking time to listen and give helpful advice... I appreciate it

on We Never Learn by davepowell1
Great song man, love the lyrics. Just a shame the vocals aren't more pronounced as you've got a real drive to your voice that sometimes seems to get a little lost among the instrumental.

Still really enjoyed it though, and thanks for sharing :)

Yeah, I'm a terrible sound man and I get frustrated when recording, then it's down hill from there. Thank goodness there's no laws forbidding a redo. :D
Thanks mildperil!

on Remember feat Austin Bucholtz by Ludwigbroo
Really great job. Instrumentals, vocals and lyrics are really good, but feel there was a missed opportunity to really belt the vocal out on the main instrumental part and take the song up a level or two.

Still really enjoyed it though, and thanks for sharing :)

Love it. It wouldn't sound out of place on a retrospective CD from the 90's, and that's a compliment.

What hardware are you using?

on 175th Wonder of the World by BlancFroid
That's actually really lovely, and took me back to somewhere that I can't quite remember. Quite Orb like in parts, and in other parts I could imagine it being played on the t.v. on a loop over some random graphics. Very hypnotic.

Thanks for sharing :)

A real beautiful summery vibe, which almost gives me the feeling of butterflies :)

Would like to hear some vocals over the top of this, as they could take it up a notch.

Thanks for sharing.

on By Your Side - Feat Farisha by DrvanLansberg
A really great tune. I would even go as far as to say it's modern 80's, which is no mean feat to accomplish.

Enjoyed every second and quite happily listened through to the end. Thanks for sharing :]
DrvanLansberg
DrvanLansberg replied 8th May 2018 - 7 years ago
Yeah, I recognize that 80'2 feel. I guess it's partly because of the keys. just liked the sound of it. It was no intention at all to make ik sound like 80's :). Often I feel a track is moving itself into a certain direction when creating it. Same happened to this one. And when I put in Farisha's vocals, it was all clear what it needed to be :)
