Had me guessing for a second, at first with the drums and slaps I thought Micheal Jackson "They don't really care about us", then some 80's disco, as soon as the synths arrived. A Very nice and well mixed track. By the way, keep up the solo's!
Thanx for your kind comments. You should defo do some singing, if your voice is as good as your poetry. I'm really loving your new tracks and playing them all the time.
I know I`m going tom be hitting the fav button when my first listen ends Kenny...This is top notch original stuff...your vocal & the way you`ve backed it up is a perfect match...and by the way,.....you waaaay under-rate yourself badly as a vocalist..I really like your vocal character & the kind of natural way you deliver it...and just as a side note..really like the production values overall..you could maybe pump a bit more bass but the whole thing is too good to get at all picky about...Just been reading some of the latest on the new audio normalization values for production & tracks like this one will live nicely in the near future (with the end of loudness wars) while the limited to death mixes we see lots off are going to sound as bad as they are....I digress....Its all dm good mate....keep on...Ed
Hey Ed, thanx for listening and your kind comments. I think a few people have hit on the bass thing and it's defo something for the next mix, although someone told me the other day that the music didn't match the vocal at all, so you can't please everyone. What might sound good to your ears, won't necessarily sound good to others. I knew the industry would catch up with my abnormal, normalization values eventually!!
Thanx for your continued support man, oh and by the way you are my Featured Artist of the Week on my show tonight on Loop Radio!
Great vocals mate!..I'm digging the lyrics big time,I hate comparisons but your about six times better than John Mayall ever sounded!...I've got (now this isn't a criticism)a slight issue with the drum tempo while it does work I feel it's a little fast paced and creates some phasing with the singing..mind you some people go to extreme lengths to create this very nuance! lol...or maybe I've been straight for too damn long..haha cheers Dave
Haha thanx Dave appreciate that. I can see what you mean now about the beat, I didn't go to great lengths, just stuck it in a pot and hoped for the best. I'll rain that back a bit in the next mix. Cheers mate.
Excellent job. I was thinking about one of Ed's comments about listening to Sade and I was thinking about there song "Cherish the day" what I love about that song is that the bass drops in the second verse. I think that’s what this tune needs. a cool moving bassline from the second verse forward. I love how the percussion in the beginning fools the listener into thinking that song will be something else and then you bring in the mellow 7th chord pads that make this song sweet. Great job
Steve
Here it is!
I heard this on the Loop Radio a while ago and had to come here to hear it again - you guys did a great job!!!
I don't even know if I ever heard the original and if I have it could not have been this good because it didn't leave any memories what so ever.
And this rendition stuck immediately so...enough said.
Hi SJ, thanx for taking the time to listen. I wanted to share my experiences and put out a message about the use of hard drugs. There's a video now too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YST0bTENj-U
Great work, long time ago I heard one of your songs but you manage to put your heart into your songs and I can hear that (all three of you though haha)
Thanks for sharing this
greetings john ;)
Hey, when are you guys going to hit the road....I've got a bus I can take you around the country in, hahaha. Excellent work, beautiful vocals, great instrumentation and a perfect job on a really great song.
No critique here Kenny, just massive amounts of respect for all of you and a huge thanks for sharing this one with all of us. I hope all is well.
You sing better than Neil Kenny...no shit...somebody will nail me for saying so, but Neil should stick to writing even if I totally love the odd tune he has done (Prairie Wind album is a classic in my book)....you`ve got some good company on this one and it really sounds good....super bit of work guys....Ed
To listen to your productions I always look forward. Again you managed a varied and balanced song. Please more - more playtime - more fun to listening to your great music! :)

I agree with Tumbleweed, dropping some heavy-duty bass in there would totally amp the game.
Not usually my style, but your voice bridges the distance.
