Paul, how are ya now?
Considering you just picked up a DAW in January, I'd say you're doing alright. There are definitely some improvements that could be made, but you're off to a good start.
One thing I suggest is that when you decide which key you're going to work in, figure out which notes/chords correlate with that key. Then when you're composing, you can make sure that everything sits in the right place. I bring this up because there are parts where your instruments don't quite sit comfortably together, creating a dissonance that leaves it sounding "off". Because it is. That doesn't only apply to your synths, bass, and other instruments, but, your kick drum as well. Any time you have a drum with any sort of a decay or sustain, like most electronic drums do, you'll want to make sure they're tuned to the key as well.
But, I have to say, for a beginner, job well done. You'll learn as you go. I've been doing it for almost 20 years and I'm still learning new things all the time. As long as you enjoy it, you'll keep improving.
Keep it up.
Take care.

well done paul, its always good to here original lyrics, being a songwriter myself i can appreciate the work you put in, your just starting your journey and i'm enjoying what i here from you, keep up the hard graft bro it pays off
Hello paulcreaney, I enjoyed your track very much, very big edm sound and made for the floor....i thought your vocals were pretty good, its the work my friend....you're putting in the work. Everything gets better with work, great job
Wow a dance number that would be great in any club, esp Spain or Ibiza and that vocal is brilliant at adding a touch of emotion to lock in a feeling. The voice sounds very like Gary Numan ;)
Ok, interesting choice to abandon the circle of fifths to create that very different chord key change. Maybe that's the future,e IDK. I love it when someone gets that experimental. As long as you know why you did that, good on you. Interesting track.
Took me a minute to get the feel for this, but it grows into itself quite nicely. Has a beautiful shiny progression, no doubt in my mind you are a big deadmau5 fan. Very nice work Paul.
Hello paulcreaney, Your tracks have a nice bright optimism to them...this one even more so, its the kind of music that will not only keep you on the floor but make you feel good.....nice job
Excellent work, great sound. It reminded to me the Hooked on Classics series in much more contemporary and cinematic approach.
Well done.
My regards, Anthony
