MapleBacon....just a bit of additional info on your latency/delay issue...Download a free driver called ASIO4ALL (they have a web site...or use whatever site you trust)..Install it on your computer..It works with everything I have tried it on (sometimes better than the original pro driver) including Acid Pro, Cubase, Sonar, etc and is likely on the hard drive in just about every studio..very good reputation....After you install it (its just a small file)..Open Audacity if thats what you want to use for recording....Go to EDIT....Then PREFERENCES....Then the Audio i.o tab...it should show up there...choose it as the audio driver...Bet it helps with the latency even without a recording interface...but you best long-run bet would be to get at least a basic interface..they all come with an ASIO driver....Good luck...Ed

Hey MapleBacon....keep working on figuring out that recording program...I`d like to hear more of your stuff..always enjoy the straight up acoustic guitar when its well played...There are lots of fellow musicians around here that are happy to pass on a bit of production advice if you are looking for any...There is a limiter plugin in Audacity that can pump the volume up for you but you likely need at lease a basic recording interface (with an ASIO driver) to get rid of the latency...keep on....Ed

I think I mainly stopped becuz you mentioned guitar, that's one way to peak my interest.

I see a friendly get together on the porch one summer day. Kinda strikes me as a cool country with a hip hop twang. I can hear a harmonica playing in there too haha.

If it were longer I'd give it a go, cuz it kinda strikes me as a Neo soul-ish vibe as well.

Anyway, nice work!

Thanks. I wish I had a harmonica to incorporate into it. It would sound great for this.

I'll probably make it longer, fix it up some, and add parts.

HEY! Where's the rest of it?! LOL.

The volume is a bit low, got my speakers all the way up, but you can keep it low if you make it longer. I really like it.

Yea, it's short because I'm lazy and just figured out how to overdub with Audacity properly. I'll revisit it though and extend it and add stuff to it and what not. Make it a complete track.
