Sick track Benjizo! That beat is ill with a laid back vibe to it. I would be down to jump on this. You got some dope flows too man. Even for a rough mix it sounds pretty good. This one's a Fav. Truly nice work.
Tight track Benjizo! The drums are hitting hard on this one. That sample sounds dope mixed in there. It's a head nodder for sure. This one's a Fav and it's downloaded. Nice work.
aye bro we gotta find away to link up i love your beats i stay
downloading and cranking them and writing deff shout you out to cause you a beast much love and respect brotha
Solid piece of work my Man...
Groove is fresh moves with style, on point...
The guitar is hooked up, right in the spot it should be, but I can
tell you had some editing things, not being a guitar player you
wouldn't notice...A few lines in the solo end on the wrong note, I can
see you were locked in on the time thing " Intro-1st solo line" just a
touch too short to be believable, it sounds like it's edited...And you
use it a few times...that's the hook...so you really want to lock that in
I'd chop that again, cause you are in the ballpark...
>>>>OR>>>>
If you want to hang that note, you could add a longer delay at a low
level blending into the strings...
You can let that slide...If you put some voices over that, on top
of the beat, below would make that stand out a lot more...
Very nice start to a cool track...Man...
Thanks TG..You right man .I wouldn't notice those things, its crazy.I wish I had your expertise and Knowledge. Thanks for pointing it out man.I will look into it.
I don't know, if it is the correct way of doing it. But I do it, and I think, it is easy and works great.
Use a meter(before the limiter) and don't have any compressor on the master. Turn off the limiter.
Turn everything down to zero(not the master), so there is no sound. Slowly turn up the kick to around -3-6 on the meter and then turn up the volume for the other instruments, till it sounds great, and the music does not go above -3-6 on the meter.
Turn the limiter on, and have a 2nd meter that show the level after it has been limited and look at both meters and make it sound good.
The master channel:
EQ to cut the very high and very low(20-40 Hz/low end and 18Khz high end)
Meter
Limiter
meter
The limiter should not go above -0.2-0.3, otherwise it can become distorted when people listen to it on their iphones etc.
By doing this the limiter has room to push up the sound and does not make it sound so flat.
There are probably pros out there, that know better ways to do it. But this is a good start.
I always know where to go, if I want to listen to quality music. You never let me down!
I have one thing, that can be improved. I noticed the sound is a bit flat(too much compression and limiter). Not much dynamic range that will make it sound bigger.
I will suggest you use a track you compare your work with, and then not make it louder than the track.
You can use Jay Z D'evis it sounds a bit like your track and it has nice dynamic range.
