really nice vibe you created here bro the keys are gorgeous the drums are none fussy and set the slow pace great tone on the bass drum and the percussion is tight and that seagull loop just adds to that summer chilled out vibe you captured, really nice listen my friend. happiness is the way, think about it, if somebody or something pisses you off for two minutes at anytime, let it go, forget it, its minor in your life, dont let it spoil your whole day
here's a link to a podcast with the ex chief of google Mo Gawdat on the subject of happiness, its almost 2hrs, alot for one sitting but a few visit would see you through, its a great watch, its not trying to teach anyone to suck eggs it just gives a different simplistic message on how we look on happiness and the choices YOU can make
just finished watching it in one session. that was very interesting indeed, thanks a lot for sharing.
it contains a lot of wise insights.
i already recommended it to some people as well
Certainly you posted this while I was away, sorry I never heard this!
There are times I am taken aback with the way my vocals are used, this is one of those times! These vocals are ones I was very proud of, and you have taken great care in your creative way of handling them. Very well done, but I expect NOTHING less from you!
I can`t believe this one has been around since May last year & I haven`t found it till now...(shame on me...slacker..ha)...This is one of those uplifting pieces of music that leave you feeling good & with a smile...your talent is on display doudei...always a pleasure to hear how you use it...great job...enjoyed the listen...Ed
Stunning harmonics structure in this track! There's constantly something boiling out of this music...something like unstopable energy of life itself, and I think it really is!:)
Up to the moment the bass gets in, there is quite a lot of high frequencies in your track. Same goes for the full drum track. You might want to consider cutting off a bit of these and adding some mid range frequences during the track. Maybe play the choir one octave down.
The harmonics are simply wonderful! Reminds me of the work Thomas Newman did for American Beauty. A mixture between feel good and a kind of disassotiation if you know what I mean.
thanks for your insights DrvanLansberg!
those suggestions were spot on. i tend to have too much stuff going on in the 1k and up region when i do those kind of build-up arrangements like here. looking back this was no exception. it's still not perfect but there has definitely been an improvement mix-wise.
thanks again for your input!
This is very nice, a real play on harmonics very tastefully done
I might add...
Not a lot of space to fit much in there, but lots of space if you
know how to dance with harmonies in tune octave wise, or using
triads timing would be the key element, in those adds...
thanks for sharing your thoughts and again sorry for the late reply.
there was and is still a lot going on and i am trying to fix some bad decisions i made when i initially arranged some of the parts. getting there but it's a slow process.
cheers!
hey! I really do not know how to approach this correctly - my listening system is very simple nowadays (drums, bass and other stuff...). This is very floating kind of music regarding to it's harmonic content! Nice piano introduction - I really like that quality sound, some nice female distant choirs and like... lots of twinkling synth sounds! Simple but good bass foundation.
thanks a lot alex.
got a busy time in my life right now, sorry it took so long to get back.
i haven't done any new things recently but did use the little time i had to improve some existing ideas like this one. and just some random jams every once in a while of course :)
so long my friend - hope all is well

But I'm glad you like the EQ. I remember spending a lot of time fiddling with knobs that I wasn't sure where to point them to.
Haven't made much music in the past, but I hope that this will change soon.
If I make tracks I will definitely post them here - thanks!
