it was a very smooth transition into the slow section. all of sudden I was there! good job. the midi samples for orchestra have really evolved over the years and you might explore, for example, ARIA sounds. keep it up. beautiful work!

Thank you for your comments!! I appreciate it! It got me thinking....so I looked into it and I should be receiving Garritan Personal Orchestra 4 next week...so, I'll see if I can improve on it. I've already done some rearranging of it, just a little, in preparation. Thanks again!

Hi !

Your song is very great I loved the melody and its "concept". However, I think piano should be more present and high sound a little bite less loud.

MIDI sounds like video games music and its would perfectly work in a old school video game. With sounds a little bite more realistic, that would be a perfect song for movies.

This is my personal opinion and I don't want to be offensive. Its a very great work and I loved the story in the description.

You made your song with your heart and that's the most important, keep working :)

Hi Jowe! Thank you for your comments on my piece. Yes, I agree, the midi video game sound is not my goal and I am glad to hear other people point that out. I'm redoing it with, hopefully, more realistc sound.

Regards,

Bonjour Edward ....

Beautiful harmonies here, and a very ambitious project. Yes!
Sounds and intruments Midi that you use are definitely from another era, and have now evolved by and in their sonnorité.
The shades musical are a little too "mechanical" and without effects, which could bring more relief .... This is only my humble opinion, of course.
You could to move this project .... but to have taken this decision after so many years for this painful event, is a tribute to you ....

Hello Dan!

Thank you so much for your comments! I am sorry I did not reply to your comment sooner - I cannot believe it has been over a month since I have logged in. Yes, I agree. I am trying to figure out the best way to re-do this piece and have it sound less "midi." I have purchased Personal Orchestra 4 and I hope it has better sounds than what I was using...and a way to add more "feeling" to the instruments. I will work on this and upload a new version although I don't know how long it will take.

Best to you!

-Edward
