Greetings once more, Now in this track there were some things i liked and didnt like. As i was listening to the intro and build up, it really sounded promising from 1:11 it started to mess things up and lost attention and focus of the track. Than at around 1:50 it started nice again till around 2:57 it went down under. Also this wasnt mixed properly esspecialy within the pieces that the song did go under. It was loud noisy & messy. Iam just be honest here like i always am. So in this case i would recommend to keep the good pieces and create a track with those only. But hey thats just my opinion. Anyway keep on creating. Feeling really honored to see your opinion, a quite different and valuable comment means more for me to refer! I have witnessed a huge side-effect from the musics I used to listen that they usually just cannot stop being in a radical loudness-war and focousing too musch on hi-freq contents. yeah maybe I should truely calm down and make it more naturally next time.

Chill step it is - I can actually imagine a male singer over the top, speaking about a very dramatic romantic situation - starts off all wistful then becomes a veritable force of longing

"Eagering to explain a complicated feeling about different periods of the past" is the main starting point about creating this track, as you already observed it clearly. Actually I do wanted to add a vocal but famale one using maybe Solaria on Synthesizer V, however then I realized it feels more comfortable if I just leave a blank space for imagination, and here we are!

Very cool chillstep!!!
The musicality is outstanding as the choose of the instrument and the structure.
On my humble opinion though the final mix/master is a tad bit harsh.
But it's subjective of course.

I really have no good thoughts on mixing and mastering due to lack of experiences. I used to listen modern-Japan-style dtm more, these dtm makes are usually radical in the tracks' high-frequency and loudness, made me hesitate whether if my track is too weak..

The part from 1.14 was inspired from one of my best friends, and it became a "surprise-changing" time. I used to think that maybe it is too sudden that may sounds like they belong to 2 different songs but luckly you told me your opinion. Really happy to see your comment Cyberflare, thank you!!

Just reviewed my project file.
The DAW I use is FL, then I will truely tell you some details about my choice and the default path.
For the intro part, the most dreamy element is a music box with the effect of Deelay vst.
Then a normal stage grand in the path (Packs-Instruments-Keyboard-Stage Grand, it is used in FL Direct Wave), cut the sounds below 600Hz and add a reverb. At the same time, a preset of Hybrid Keys in Kontakt called "broken heart" do the leading key sound.
After the first drop, rhodes (Packs-Instruments-Keyboard-Rhodes, also FL Direct Wave) creat the dreamy field with a stable line goes up and down, and a electric piano leading the line to the next part which is a changed mode of the previous melody. Electic and Rhodes play on Direct Wave are always my good friends haha.

Very interesting, joyful composition. It sure feels like chillstep (being very close to dubstep in some parts of it). Beautiful melodies and warm basses in most of the cases. I definitely liked your song.
