Love the intro, it gives off the feeling of disaster striking and the uncertainty that follows. And after that it seems kind of like the triumph of the Red Skull or the loss of innocence etc. Very cool. I can picture Rogers dying on the court steps with the rain and this music playing, i think you should change the genre to Cinematic, feels very much so like that.
Thanks Clay! I'm glad you "saw" what I saw when I made this song. Good call on the cinematic. I think I will change it. Thanks for dropping a note fellow comic fan ;)
I listened to this song twice back to back. Now I feel like I have to go do stuff or run around. I really dig this kind of music, makes me feel like I can get some real work done. I'm going to go pound some metal into shapes now. Thanks for sharing this!
I'm glad you liked it and left a cool review! It's funny that you mention running around. I started mixing so I could make my own workout music for the (at the time) karate studio. You have to be careful what you play around children. Frankly, I was really tired of hearing eye of the tiger and danger zone. To this day, I cringe and picture little tikes in karate garb when I hear those songs. lol
I'm not hearing the gap, unless you mean towards the end. That was done on purpose. Cyryus' loop is perfect, I just chopped it up for this song. Thanks for the review brecken!
Great intro. I love those spooky strings and the dog bark sound. Quite a sinister piece from one so sweet! Super mix and production, and that beat is bad!!!
I love minimalist statements, they have so much space and in that aspect I imagine they are difficult to create without over burdening the ambience..(must try something like this)...cool job!..cheers planet :)
Now this does compute..Hi pep...what a great visual journey with music......I'm also an avowed Sci-Fi nut (always have been) so this is right up my alley...one day this surely will come to pass..great piano segments!....very enjoyable...cheers planet :)
Thanks again planet. I'm glad you went on a visual journey with this one. I always try to paint a picture with my music. So glad someone else could see it. As for the cool piano...I can't take credit. All of my sounds come from this great site called looperman. You should ckeck it out some time. LOL I really look forward to the day I can make my own loops though. That will be the day I become an official hermit. Thanks again for the review. Very kind of you.
Loopville rocks!
Thanks! I was bored with my sony acid loops. Besides, I can't post them here. One day I would like to make my own sounds but for now, I have looperman ;)
now that was a pretty tight concept. When i saw the title and the genre i was like i don't know about this one, but egg on my face nice job. Oh yeah and I'm coming to check out the comic site too. I got a few comic cards left that didn't get stolen.lol
Can you imagine the audience's reaction if this was playing behind his speech when he actually made it? I could've gone for it. Oh, but if the cultures could only stop fighting and get together and dance 'til all the dumb shit is purged from their souls. Yeah. Nice way to blend these two concepts, the beat and the speech. Hype, but doesn't lose the seriousness. A great, great tribute to a great, great man.
This is too cool, I LOVE IT, the power, the cinematic feel... has a creepy vibe to it that i really like, it's cinematic yet a song as well. Very good work, I always love the mixing of orchestral type sounds with electronic... you got a mean nasty beat going there that adds even more sting to this track. Two thumbs way up and added to my favs. Nice.
LOL!! I was thinking of my 4 yr olds teddy, "Bear in the blue house" listenin to this....problem is he would love bear to go mental and wreck my place!!! He'd think it was funny!!!
Very atmospheric track pep!!! And the description you gave was spot on!!! Top notch!!
Very cool track indeed. Love it! You should check a group called Dr.Stelle ( i think that's how it's spelled)Reminds me of that group. I think after writing a track like this, you would definately appreciate and relate to some Dr.Steele. Just for the record, I think we all at some time or another have wondered what's really going on with our toys. Inanimate objects my ass, you know what's up!
Thanks so much for the great review. I just checked out Dr. Steele. Very funky. Smokey's theme make me laugh. His other stuff reminded me of Rob Zombie. Thanks again!
I like the way you didnt take from the message, but you also made it your own and for the dude-ette comment?? - this day and age its just dude.. plain and simple so DUDE! - love your stuff :P
