pretty awesome dude, the wave file looks weird, like as if the volume was low and then you suddenly raised midway through, but you must of uploaded a second version and the wav file picture from the first stayed, the track is great, fast with great automation, and you play around with the drums, it's a good escape, wouldn't mind downloading it and spacing out to it every once in a while, which program did you make this on? which vsts, I hear sylenth1, maybe Im wrong, ok I just read reason 8.1 in your profile, keep the goa tracks comin, I listened to it with my headphones on by the way
I am really enjoying the dynamic range in this piece, and I think that the instruments and how they were recorded adds to this considerably. The bass line is pretty sweet and groovy! Got to love one finger chords! They are well placed, timing wise, and everything sounds in tune (not always an easy feat). Good relaxing electro, not this modern EDM jive. Very fun to listen to! Hoping you can contact me about that mix. Great work! Fave!
I love the sound quality you present and your instrumenal approach to composing - it is truly immensely inspiring.
If you could only sample or somehow incorporate vox or some jazzy lines into this one (?). I do not know... . This feels just too minimal musically to me, at least this time. It is relative of course. I know the technical limitations of live performance so I do not mean this as something negative at all.
I liked the dreamy character of the breathing backgrounds. All sounds very classic indeed - bass, claps, keys and things. Very elegant in it's sound-image and very pleasant music to hear. Congratulations. A.
That "breathing background" is the Kawai K1 preset "Visitors" which I edited a bunch. Some of the things you can do with what should be just a really simple sample based synth is amazing. There's nothing else quite like it.
Thanks for the reply! I have avoided getting any of the volca stuff, especially since I have a bunch of other korg stuff. Sounds good though! I recently picked up bare PCB's for the xox-heart and xox-heart pacemaker projects. Once I get me new lab completed I will be building things again, and it will be on the list. It's pretty much like an analog and digitally controlled 303 voice... so it fits in a modular environment well. Looking forward to playing with that one. Enjoyed listening and reading your reply!
It's the stutter knobs that give that delay sound. It's sounds interesting because the way I used it here it sounds like I'm slowing the tempo but I'm not.
That xox-heart thing sounds interesting but I need the sequencer as that is a very huge part of that sound. I'm currently using my MMT-8 to sequence the acid but it can't do polyrhythms (step length) like the 303 can. Well it can have odd time signatures but then everything is.

But yeah...a lot of early electro was this minimal...
