Back to these pages again! Man its been so long and we face the same front lines once more. Fk yeah broski MLTP all the way. You should get back on here, haha just got your txt, Forgotten gold, glad your page is still up on here. Good work, Peace.
That it does start off haunting and is a treat for the ears. Jumps straight into action then back out like it was all a thought. Loving this piece a lot! Put together very well, interesting and keeps the head rocking \m/ The double meanings is a great take on the lyrics. This one goes out to the masses.. Insane guitar work!! You always come hard with the metal sounds. Great show here man. Keep on letting the stress out and have a good1. Enjoyed the listen bro...
Anyways, an interesting song here. I know the words are heartfelt and am sorry for the difficult times you had with a breakup.
As for the song, overall it sounds decent to me. Different parts could have the volume adjusted so you could hear the vocals better. It sounds more like your straining your voice to get the vocals out, but I guess a lot of 'metal type songs' are that way.
Best way to make a song sound really decent, even if you have so-called 'cheap equip', is to listen to a song that is already out on CD, of an artist, or of the music type you like, and then listen closely to the different parts and see how they sound. Then try and duplicate that same sound/tone/style....and you'll have a good sounding piece in no time.
So basically you need some 'radio ready'-mastered songs to compare to. That is what I do...but I also have decent eqip. as well now.
Most all my songs are instrumentals, with only one or two that people have added vocals to. One was my last country song. I have done a couple metal type songs, but nothing sounding like this style here.
So I'd say keep practicing and get your tracks down one at a time, and make sure everything is balanced throughout, and you'll do really well, no what type of music you'll make.
Thanks for commenting on my rock tune and for sharing this one.
Randy
very interesting song... like your style, great writing, good vocals, could go a little easy on the reverb in the first part... over all good song and good production, will be watching for more in the future, jon
I like the concept of it all, The vocals fit perfectly the way they are, in my opinion. and also i think dualing leads would suit this, also just my opinion. how ever you recorded it- it still is metal to me,nice work. ------------------------------------------Yes thats what i'm talk'in about, cant wait!
rock and roll for sure man!!! I am currently working on recording this song again and much more clearly. sounds super muddy to me. the dual leads is a good idea. i will try it to see how it all turns out. might bust an avenged sevenfold/old school metallica dual harmonized lead
thank you for listening. i screwed the mixing session of this song up and actually lost that drum beat. ill get it again because i have more to add to it. glad you liked it. honestly i hate my voice but people seem to like it on here so i keep recording all my old songs.
I was starting to think this was a country tune! But around 1:00 you hit em where it hurts. It gets hard and the lyrics are there. I listen to some rock and I must say this sounds like system of a down on speed! I love it. Fav. Tight work, only 1 way but up!
thanks man i appreciate you taking the time to listen. never thought of it as country but now that you mention it i can totally hear that in the beginning. ive never been compared to system but they are one of my favorite bands. thank you and have a great day bro.
Another sick track man, guitars are sounding more wider great job. Dig that vocals in the beginning, nice touch on that. Just really enjoying that play button on your work a lot man lol like a virgin finally got laid haha dang maybe that's not the best comparison, but you get the idea right(i hope). Anyways man, I just went from bottom to top of your track list, wow didn't realize I played em all till now. Keep up the awesome work Rockist! (I'm not really sure why I keep calling you that but if it bugs you let me know) ^_^ Aight man have a good 1 (I must be after what I've been showing my ears) Peace. Fav'd
Yo man, honestly I think your guitar work is simply the best I've heard that I can really feel and really love hearing (even tho quality could be better, but if you listen and take the track as is it does NOT take any feeling out of your creations. Shows a great idea that's endless possibilities! and can only go higher and higher! Maybe we can collab or something. I really would like to use your kind of guitar work in some epic orchestra tracks I've been thinking about. Fav'd + dl! keep doin ya thang Rockist! \m/
Aight have a good one man. Peace.
James I'm serious man your like a super band in one person. Cause I've been wanting to make songs like these for years! and simply cannot get the perfect layout and sound with all your cool tunes that you do here. Got an albums out? Or working on any. I would really enjoy hearing an entire album of your stuff. So far all the ones I've heard catches my attention quick gets me rushed right into the track. You must be doing something right haha or your my new favorite guitarist vocalist for this month! Very much enjoyed this and all your other work my friend. Keep at it, keep going forward!Fav'd + downloaded. Aight man you have a good 1. Do ya thang Mr Rockist! Peace.
Sup James! First of all I wanna say two things.... 1-Where's the band at? and 2-Where's the youtube videos of the after scenes?! haha cause this is really really good bro!!! I'm really digging your guitar work and vocals man. Don't put your vocals down man, trust me its better than a lot of stuff I hear on the Internet! The drums sets a good mood for your tasty guitar riffs. And your music reminds me a lot of old school rock/metal bands!!! Like a combination a very cool ideas... Strong feelings and tons of power coming from you! Fav'd for sure and keep on moving bro! You ROCK. Have a good 1 man, Enjoyed this a ton! Thanks for sharing. Peace!
Im going to agree that the recording quality could be better but as far as the song goes, I seriously dig it. The vocals are great and the guitar solo is nice bro! I wanted to hear the hook (chorus) one more time after the solo! I think it would wrap the song up nicely. Good work.
thank you. This was just one of them songs that kinda flows all the way through. i didnt really plan any verse or chorus. just soft louder lead and righ after the lead you are right. there should be words and i have a version with the words but i cant find it so i might have to do them over. thats my favorite part when i got the squeals and the wah chucks goin at the same time. thanks again man. have a good one
thanks man. this is the only recording i have of me doin any solo work. took 3 shots at it and figured on the 3rd take it was ok. used to solo all the time but figured playing a combo of rhythym and lead kept me happy and made the songs sound more full by myself. :) i appreciate your comment. have a great day.
I like it. If you have the vocals channeled straight down the centre, they shouldn't be too hard to remove. But, truth is, I like it as is. (Mind you, I'm a huge fan of bootlegs, sooooo....)
thank you john. I have to record everything again because everything except what you hear was lost. all in due time. ive wanted to fix it for about 5 years. soon enough. thank you for listening.
How did you manage to get my ex wife to do that opening for your track. Sounds just like her during our divorce and, as a matter of fact, ever since :-)
lol thats funny. its actually me on that track. I ran my mic through my line 6. used the pitch bender and compressor and noise filter. some other crap and it came out like that. had plenty of ex's so i fell ya man. they are always possesed and evil in the end. in fact those words are actually words that were said to me from ex gf's
Sup James, Great guitar riff you have playing here. The vocals and quality is low but I can still get the feeling man. I'm sure later on you'll bring this track to its full potential! Really cool idea, you did what you can at the time you could, Props! I like your idea of song writing. Aight
that made me smile man thanks. yeah the vocals are recorded really bad. it was one of the first tracks i used my condenser mic on. Ive got a lot better stuff now. it will be awsome just have to finish it. rock on bro!
hey thanks man. I recorded those vocals fast. I will be remixing this song along with all the others. Ive got quite a few songs. spent most of my life working instead of rocking. now i want my work to be rock. :) its still work though. have a good one man.
Exsellent..I love the tunes and lyrics!!!
I didn't here so good performing for a while here on looperman..!
But maybe the qulaity of recording could be changed...
and the end is cated suddenly...

The music is pretty cool man! Im not a huge fan of the vox, not your singing. Your singing is pretty cool, it has a BLS sound to it. But its just the way the vox were recorded and mixed and played. Its not the best qaulity.
lol you are right kenny. i hate the vocals too. they were much worse trust me. :) i want to redo all of these songs so they are ready for an album. most of them i recorded a few years ago. ive been busy working and learning how to build and design shoes. Wait til you see some of the gutiars im going to make. thank you for your input i appreciate it. I like the song but it sounds kinda weaksauce to me.
