If there's any truth to the description then you did the absolute best with what you had. I think the soundtrack fits perfectly with those vocals, and you're right, they are a bit hard to work around. The sounds you chose are perfectly space-y and support the exact same vibe as the vocals. Very well done sir! If you want any criticism, I would say turn the instruments down slightly and cut out some of the highs to make more space for the vocal and create more separation. NOT trying to be a know-it-all!

This is truly an amazing piece of music. Because of the voice, I initially thought of Kate Bush, too, but actually, the music reminds me more of Lucia Hwong's work. I don't know if you've ever heard of her, but I'm sure you'd like it. But I also know that comparisons like this are always tricky, and of course, the track is completely unique. Not to mention the sound quality... truly amazing!
