Hello REKLOTHEWOLF, first thanks for the listen and comment my friend, second I didn't mean to put you out that way ( joke joke), but really I'm glad you felt good about the track....I really appreciate it and you.
This is some kind of special! I'm sitting here at work and got lost. Very professionally and well done. I love the smooth vibes, easy on the ears. Job very well done.
I didn't realise you had a new one that I hadn't heard yet! This is just a wonderful listen. I don't think I can ever tire of this genre of music (or your music as it's all been a pleasure to listen to), this is beautifully composed and played. This music will be perfect to listen to while I'm working on non music related projects! :)
Hello MzCinema, thanking you my friend for listening of course, it means a lot and gives me a reason to upload even more.....the pleasure is really mine because the music is the reason....so I appreciate your time to check it out. Again thank you
Hello BCVProductions, thanks my friend for listening to my track and commenting. I will say the guitar itself produces a nice tone but I also use a tc electronics pedal to enhance the artcores I play....I have 3 and use this pedal with all of them.....I've also found that a medium pick helps with a heavier tone as well.....again thanks for listening.
Hi Glenn,
If I ever have a bout of acute anxiety, I'll listen to this track before I reach for the medicine cabinet... You're a very relaxed soul, aren't you. I like the chord progressions you chose... this could go on and on... until sunrise. Thanks!
Cheers,
Micky
Hello Micky, I really appreciate your comments and time to listen to my track....it means a lot. The music we create can do so much....keep up your good work as well my friend.
Hello BeatMaker4real, I wanna thank you my friend for checking this track out and commenting....very much appreciated....im just a music lover with more love for music than talent, but I'm good with that....I have so much more to share, again thank you.
Kudos to you on the excellent recording on the equipment you describe,,started my recording on a Tacsam 4 trk..used a 238S for many years. Nice warm sound on that Ibanez (checked one out when I was looking for something different for blues/jazz stuff..and you play well. Fab track man..enjoying a listen..big well done to you. Keep on. Ed
Hello Tumbleweed my friend....most of my recordings have been done with the tascam DP-03. It's not the best but for my needs I get out of it with tweaking a pretty good sound along with a few pedals and mixing and mastering from the recorder....I have not migrated to to mixcrafts and studio artists software as of yet. I have them all, its just more of a learning curve I have to work toward. As for guitars I have a few Ibanezs.....acoustic and jazz . Love them all.....just a music nut I guess....wont bore you any further....let me just say im thankful for guys like you and look forward to more of your work as well.
Hello TrippleN97, hey my brother thank you for listening to this track....it means a lot. Im just a brother who loves music in any form and im glad if it shows. What would we do without it....appreciate you my friend.
Smooth and Serene my friend!
This gives me those early year Mac Ayres vibes (have you heard of mac ayres?)
Also may Iask if you had any inspiration for your vocal style in particular? As unique as it is, i know it isn't uncommon for some people to model their voice after an inspiration
Hello Zivonmusic, really appreciate your comments and of course listening to my track...first I've heard of Mac Ayers but have listened to any of his stuff but I will do that. I'm an older guy so I go back a bit as far as influences....but guys like dimeola, metheny, benson, j.pass, holdsworth, w.montgomery, s.khan....there's tons more that I admire and still.follow. I don't really have a style other than if I feel it I try to convey it....sounds crazy maybe but its true....improv gives you little time to mess around.....or so it goes for me. I've never had formal guitar lessons so I'm doing mainly what I feel and have learned on my own. There's no shame in my game....I'm quite fond of music and inspiration can be found anywhere....all types of music inspire me but I do favor certain genres more than others. Don't mean to bore you so I'll once again thank you for your comment and listen....
Hey Glen, very nice and very smooth, I can hear the Pat Mentheny influence in your playing style. Nice improvisation throughout, I read where you have a tascam porta studio and was curious as to if that was used in this recording? I also have a tascam porta studio 424 MK II and a tascam digital porta studio DP-03SD. I don't use either for recording, but in the mist of recording my new material (some of which will make it's way on LM); I'm also in the middle of a project using the porta studio's to transfer analog material from the 90s, (cassettes) to digital for remixing. Again nice track and very enjoyable...
Hello Dennel, thank you for checking out this track and comments....really appreciate it. I've ben p.metheny al.dimeola, g.benson, s.khan, a.holdsworth, j.pass, w.montgomery. I could go on n on. Everything that I've uploaded to this site so far I've used the tascam portastudio dp-03...I favor a couple of tc electronics pedals. I do have mixcraft, presonus 4 and 6 artist but have not incorporated this into my past work....ive got some learning to do there....The ease of recording with the tascam keeps me hooked on it I guess.....again I really appreciate your comments and look forward to listening to some of your work.
Wanted to give this another listen after the guys left. We had a strong vocal session from everyone, but I couldnt appreciate this fully the first time cuz we were so wound up. Now its unwind time. I have to agree with my brother (for once lol) and say that i hear a bit of Floyd here. The GREAT Floyd albums i listened to when i was younger that took me on journeys I wish Id never come back from. Thank you for this one, Glenn.
Hello Pnnywze, thanking you for the comments and listening....and really appreciate sounding just a drop like Floyd or anyone to be honest...they are great players, I'm just a guy who loves the guitar....again thank you my friend.
Well, Not "Kinda", this is definitely Special. All your pieces are, man. Its speaks directly to the soul, I think I could speak for everyone on LM on that. The beginning had a bit of a pink loyd vibe to me. But they used alot of chords etc that had their roots in jazz and blues, so that might not be all that surprising. As always, beautiful work, man. From everyone in The Monzder Squadd
Hello TheMonzderrSquadd, thank you guys for checking this track out....we all love music, i just like it all and will listen to anything to learn...its all good in its own way. I'm glad some of my ideas appeal to some people....you guys by the way are doing great things....let's keep it moving.
Hello lofizzer, I thank you for your comment on this track....its about anything you can imagine. The image you described is perfect. Again thank you for listening.
Hello Cyberflares, thanks my friend....where would we be without that thing called an imagination, it plays a huge part of every music making endeavor, be it with a guitar, piano, favorite piece of software
...you name it. Its starts with those thoughts and first few notes....we.love our music so there you go.....you are doing well also so keep it forward my friend.
Hello mudhoen, thank you my friend for the comments and giving this track a listen.....I enjoy trying to play the guitar, it's a crazy instrument and sometimes it will surprise you....gonna keep at it until I get right. Again thank you.
This was a good listen, Jazz isn't my thing but this one is.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece of music.
Sorry for the desecration, but at 1.5 playback speed it reminds me of Santana.
Hello TheFrenZ, appreciate the listen to a track outside your genre....its a.good thing on occasion and I regularly will do the same thing because its important to just give something else a try or listen.....every genre is beautiful in its on way. I thank you for that time and value you giving it to my track. Keep up your good work as well.
Your sound is so natural for this kind of music with the guitar standing out beautifully, very well balanced to my ears. In total a great jazz theme with excellent presence of the leading jazz guitar.
My best regards, Anthony.
Hello AnthonyAttard, your comments are of special value and meaning and I can't thank you enough....its artist like yourself that make going forward so much easier....we love our music and that's forever.
What I know about jazz u could fit on a postage stamp but this has an air of pleasant sophistication and would be great ambient music for upmarket bars Kay
