thanks very much ! I noticed on a different set of speakers theres was a problem with the kick drum clipping that i didnt notice before. problem with trying to mix on ifi speakers not monitors !
Yeah!!! i like the way you dress this track, simple and relaxing, another vision of trance music! The pads (or all the sounds used as) need to be stereoized to give some depth to compression of entire track, and maybe fits a ultra thin flanging on the their highest frequencies. Generally, use some compressions in the other sounds too, then pump up the volume (not extremely) to give some pro-touch to the entire work!
Hey J, I went about checking your material after receiving a recent comment on my track. Your description here says you just finished this but then I noticed the date it was posted was Jan of 2011! You've been on Looperman longer than I have ! But I don't recall seeing any of your tracks before. Anyhow I like the acoustic guitar work here bro. Nice articulation and good fluid playing. It sounds like its miked so is has that raw quality to it. I think in terms of critique it would be nice if there was more separation in the mix, everything seems to be in the same spot so it gets a bit muddy in spots. But over all its a clear example of some pretty tight playing and a soothing track to listen to.
Hey man, thanks for the review. I started on looperman pretty much when it was in its early stages. Its a great community for music. Thanks for checking put my music
Cool. I would love to here a mix of like moog synth sounds to make the melange more interesting. you nailed the swing sound perfectly, but you can take it up a notch by using unorthodox instrumentation. Something I strive for in my work as I like to ¨genre-bend¨ my tunes. but this is great !

Hello my friend, id be happy for you to use it on a video if you put a credit on for me and a copy right. Also, id love it if you could send me a link to the video to have a look at ! Thanks for stopping by, james Kingham
Very fun style to this song! I am especially fond of the composition of the various instruments... Because of this, I would love to hear it played by individuals on their respective real instruments. That would definitely take this to the level of classic jazz, what with the option for improvisation and the like. I know it's out of reach for almost everyone though, so I take it for what it is... and what it is, is a very complete piece which sounds great! As someone else mentioned, the mix is really good as well. Fun to hear! Fave!
Nice, bouncy piano intro and the sound is powerful from the start. Nice, swinging ride cymbal.
0:14 cool lead. Which instrument is that?
Then some good lead piano work and then the fat kick enters to put this more firmly in the electro dance swing genre.
1:20 new glockenspiel (?) instrument. That piano's been going on for a long time but it hasn't quite got boring yet. Probably because you're dropping other instruments in and out.
Ah good that the piano drops out by 2:30 for a brief drum solo. And then it's back. Would have been better if it had come back in some slightly different way. Maybe a modified chord and/or different piano sound.
