So sorry James, I only ever knew you as Jynkz, but been putting Rob for some reason, I think I may have made a similar mistake with sirefox and doofus it's old age :)) well that's what I'll say, sorry again mate, but your names are irrelevant really your music speaks for you
Great track Rob, the vocal is red hot, great voice, the beat and snare hat are fire together it could be a shaker, lots of tension and mood in the music the bass gives it that edge, really good job mate, I'm sure I've heard that vocal, myself, but can't help with the artist, although I'm sure Danke done a track with that title, but I'm clutching at straws really,I've done it as well many times you download something you may not use immediately and if it's not put in LM correct you can't find it and the artists opinion is always something that's a bonus I think nice touch trying to share the love great community player
Very good song. I love the style and feel brother. Very well done. I need guitar tracks like that one. I love the feel and intimacy of acoustic. Well done.
Ah, you have brought me back to the days of the singer/songwriter circa 70's with this one, which is (in my humble opinion) when music was, well, music. This is a very easy listen--beautiful lyrics, arrangement, and vocals. I'd buy this in a nano-second. Well, done, you!
Hey Jkingz, First of all, I love the title "Already Won". It is true we win. Secondly, I like the message in your lyrics and wish your girlfriend the best as she battles to stay sober. Like you sing... she wins. Lastly, I love your guitar play and chord progressions used.
hello. as one engaged in the battle, i can tell you this is really lovely and encouraging. thank you for sharing this. great vox + playing, i wish you’d include lyrics!
hello xstokes, thanks so much for taking the time to review my track. I've just uploaded the lyrics to the track for you so you can have a read if you want to.all the best, james
Is that your first experiment with trance music? If it's, well... good one! If it's not, well... good one too!
Some technical advice: to be fully trance, the track should be enriched with enveloping pads and "warm shades" (as if they were colors). In addition, take care of the dynamics of sounds in sixteenths. You could also add some vocal hooks, better if female. The pads could be processed with Fast LP in and out, in order to have a soft and sweet fade, which well aligns with the general atmosphere.
I listen to the last second, i found this track well done anyway. About mix/mast, just small things to fix, but as you present it, gives the impression of coming from a dated vinyl, which is not a defect at all, it contributes to increase the vintage feeling that the whole construction of the song recalls.
One last thing: if you are the guy on the profile pic, and you play guitar... why not some experimental solos on this?
Thanks henry, thats some great advice. Do you work with cubase ? Id be happy to do some collaboration work with you some time ! Thanks so much for the message, im always up for ideas on mixing/mastering etc, any advice you can offer is much appreciated
