Woo hoo - very very nice work - and yes very mellow velvet underground like but that's a very good thing to be like. Really nice mix too with the guitar and bass and drums all so well placed and doing just the right thing - for sure it would be even better with a nice vox.
If you are looking for inspiration for a vox that might fit have you ever listened to the silver jews (I loved there album american water) or there main man David Berman died a year or two ago but his last album was pretty good too or check out the microphones (Phil Elvrum) in particular the album the glow pt2 - looking forward to your next one
This is very good man, one of the better tracks on here. It reminds me of an artist I can’t quite put my finger on right now. All it needs is a vocal now.
Dude you nailed it! I love the velvet underground especially their mellower sounds and wamted to evoke that vibe on this one! Much love and thanks to you for listening and sharing your thoughts! Cheers!
Yes!! The curli-q solo is the best name for it! Hahaha im very happy you enjoyed it and am always grateful for your thoughts about the track!! Keep rocking and making this world a better place! Much love man!
Perfect for my headspace at this point in time:) I'm hearing almost slacker style, almost country. Liked the discordant guitars at the min mark whether or not it was intentional. Needs a vocal...!
Dude thank you! we are on the same wavelength then! Ive been modifying this track for the last 2 days and am working on a vocal track but im having a hard time! i was thinking about the velvet underground's mellower tracks but you're definitely hitting it on the head with the country/slacker feel! Cheers man thank you for the love and much love back to you!
thank you for your kind words! I listened to your suggestuion and found some acapella verses to add to the track, please give it a listen now! Thank you again!
I most often start composing around some guitar chords that I like...so I am appreciating what you have going here...and kudos on the composition..good to hear a mix with the structure and key changes that have defined music for decades....well done man..keep it going...some melody lines or a vocal would bump it up even more...cheers...Ed
Thank you for the encouragement and i truly appreciate the kind words! I think i'm gonna have to give the vocals a shot! i've been thinking about adding some kind of vocals to my songs for a while, so i'll let you know how it goes! Thanks again! Cheers!
Good idea, good effort, no complaints, happy to hear real instruments playing a pop/rock idea. Now ya have to get the mic set up and lay down some vocals! ...maybe someday.
this means a lot coming from you, friend! you might be right, i'll have to start coming up with some vocal parts someday soon! Thanks for your time and for the kind words! cheers!
