some great ideas.. the use of the samples... sort of...slightly... takes away from the mystic of the track bringing it away from being twisted in the dark and leaves it naked in the light ..you know?
for me you need to work on post production.. thickening you drums with layers and EQing the snares 200/250 hz and at 2.0/2.5hz then kicks at 80/120hz both would need a deep cut with a thin Q on 10.0 hz to leave space for the hats... you bassline needs thickening with EQing and compression sidechaining the kicks through it with release around half way and attack at 0...this would pull it about and snap it into place... I would also take the whole bottom end out of those kicks to give room for the bass sub to sit..
I'm gonna stop there cause I know people do do this for fun reading reviews like this can be a total bummer...
so yeah ..nice ideas just needs some post production work and some layering ..
Thanks so much TCAS! I am really trying to establish my own sound within the Dubstep genre so it's nice to people noticing my efforts in doing so. I got some new jams on deck so stay tuned. thanks again!
Peace.
Thank you Much Nick!. Thats cool that you like Metal and can produce music in different genres. You can here it in your music. A lot of the sh** I make has a dark feel to it and I think its that metal influence. Thanks again for checking it out and stay tuned cuz I got some cool sh** on deck!
Thanks man I appreciate it. There wasn't any live instrumentation on this track tho. Structure and compostition is very important I feel which is why I invest the time get a nice dynamic going. Thanks for listening. Stay tuned fer more.
Peace.
Slick track..got kinduva trancey-mezmerizing feel to it during the first half.nice tight drum work and synth sounds.definitely digg the wobbles, they have a different sound then alot of the same'ol wobbles im hearing in lottsa dubstep lately.the vox samples work great here, and give it darker feel.Great work..
Yo Raw Thanks for checkin this track out. I'm all about trying to develop a unique style of dubstep that is not based on wobbles but more on drums/percussion. glad you like it man. Got tons mo' tracks where that came from. Stay tuned!!!
Thanks again,
What up C! Man this is def your genre... I really like how detailed it is and with hard bounce steps to it. Digging the stoney sounds. Gotta listen to this one medicated just to see where it takes me on a higher level. haha! Fav'd I will check this out later prepared. Sorry I don't know this type of genre so I can't really point anything out. It all sounds good to me man. Keep up the good work and have a good 1. Peace.
Hahaaaa thanks Gadge! Yeah I am looking forward to burning one tonite and checking out some more of your stuff too. There a lot of low end 808 action in my music so headphones/a decent system that can handle subs really compliment the track I make. Thanks again for the reviews man! Respect!
Sup C!!!! This was an cool loop de loop feel! Gotta take hold but its spinning to fast! haha. I like power of this atmosphere with a lot of things going on! Props man I'm feelin this! Wish I could make something cool like this. I think its perfect like this. If I ever need Dubstep help would help me out? Cause you're very good! Aight man ill check some more of your tracks out. Have a good 1 and keep moving forward! Fav'd
Yo DJG! Thanks for the kind words man. I spend a lot of my free time doin this stuff so it means a lot when people listen to it. and its even cooler when people dig it u know. We are audio artists and the stuff u do is dope as hell. I don't know how much help I can be but if you ever have any questions or need help i will help u out as best I can. Thanks for the FAV too!
Daim bro this is nice piece,I like the synths that starts at the beginning, and continued until 2:24!Great vox samples, and bass!
For me this track a bit too long, but it's just me .. in any case a good job on this, and keep up the good work!!
Hey digging the track, nice synth work and progression! Had a really trippy atmospheric feel, which is fitting. The wobble comes in hard pretty sick. I thought maybe the vocals could use a little more shaping with the stereo shaper, maybe get some panning going on more. But great work man. Hope you will check out my latest! Its a banger like this!
Yo ET! Thanks a lot man for checking out this track. I like your idea about panning some of the VOX. Gonna look into that. Gonna checkout some of your stuff later tonite. Thanks again much appreciated!
This sounds like a good drumstep (well a bit reece bass, and definitely would be drumstep)!I like the vox samples in this track ,good fx and transitions!Yeah man, this is good track!Fav'd
Keep up bro!
OH MAN! That's what my stuff is for sure! I never thought my stuff quite fit into the dubstep genre. Drumstep is more fitting for my music. Thanks for reviewing and the kind words!
man i luv t wen u introduced the heavier wobble at (1:10) and that (Breakdown?) with the even heavier bass at (2:17)!! perhaps if u removed the polyphony (like the little hihats nd stuff on that part stead of on (2:52) so we really feel that transition naw wat mean. But thats m opinion any wae lol. im luvn this beat regardless
