Sometimes i'm working on my tracks for months, sometimes years :D and sometimes i put everything together in like half hour. Like your flow and your lyrics are very good. Overall, very good!!
I get you - I have done a couple of tracks, including a Rock track, in one take and you just push out the mood and go for it and something special happens. The lyrics are very potent and the rap is the postman. Well done. Kay
Daaaym!!!...This is sick man. You got that raw underground sound. This is as hard as it gets when it comes to boom bap. The bars, flow and beat all seem to work man. It just works. Great job!
I will always have respect for anything done in one take. I get that its one clip, but it def sounds like you rehearsed it a lot it sound really good. Well done
Wrote it in about 15minutes. Might of resaid it writing it like 5x or so. At the core I'm a improv freestyler/battler before I started writing. I can legit improve full songs, like 1 out of 50 maybe(single takes). If I had an audio engineer to punch me, I'd do it constantly.
Like how I flipped my opening bars into a hook at end, thats all improv off my own writing on the fly. But done in same recording.
Appreciate you bro
No, you're correct. The mix is 100% raw and natural, single recording. Only some minor reverb on my voice here. When I drop these, my hope is someone wants it on their whatever. Then we work together, new beat or whatever. I'll send vocals back same day most times.
Appreciate you.
It is a very catchy idea, Mr, Mr Who, original and joyful but in mho it needs some extra work to reach a better quality musically and in terms of sound quality. It is a fully potential idea that you simply need to work on it some more.
My best regards, Anthony
Glad you can actually see/hear that. For thats what it is currently. Sure my mixing and sound quality is better now. But its one them things, I rather just move onto the next and make more. Without any form of machine behind me at least. With backing I'd work more on that side.
This track is raw. No voice overs, adlibs, or vocal eq'ing. Beyond some minor reverb I think. No punch'ins, full verse in a single recording. Slight improv here and there.
Rather hard to do that all yourself, record and sound engineer. Spend hours on the engineer side. While writting and recording took me 5-10minutes. These days I think I'd rather just be a writer/ghost writer.
Appreciate the look.
You need to see if you can't find an old studio mic from the 90's or add a vintage plugin. Your voice and flow sticks like glue to these west-coast vibes. Excellent work
Thats where my style originates from. So its always comfy to do. The irony in your comment is, I've been rapping since 1994 lol. Hell use to battle rap at house of blues open mic nights in Vegas 1998-2002. Grew up in Cali.
When the mood hits, i still like to mess around. Still have a Shure mic from late 90s/early 00's, but I can't really understand what you mean. I think you mean to clean up my vocals better. My current mic is much better, my current vocal chain is much better. This was recorded on cooledit96. I now use ableton.
I appreciate the words.
I'd like to see more work from you. If you have any accapellas let me know, I'd like to use my style to mess with some of this sometime. It's refreshing to hear something unique. Well done.
Means a lot, I appreciate you. I posted this acapella earlier today under my acapellas. I'll post up 2-4 more, today. Then I'm probably going to hit some your work, for I dig ambient feel beats. I like going outside my box.
If I were in your shoes I would finish my own simple instrumental to go under the vocal(drums and keys), register that track, then release the vocal stem for remix.
It's a great rap, you'll get a ton remixes if you post the vocal.
:D
There is a time for everything my man. Sometimes its all about the feeling. But when its the feeling, it needs to still be true to yourself. But I get what you mean and agree.
