This is really super cool... a fantastically smooth catchy tune. There is simply everything in there that a really good funk track needs. Big compliment and a fav.
Peace. Micky
You made a great track, but I'm not sure this acapella is the best fit. Especially the "that's why I love you" bit seems to be in a different key?
Great guitar playing btw!
I really tried to match the key the best I could but the loop didn't show a set key and the best I could figure was F minor. It did have the BPM at 125 So I went with it. Thank you for the response and suggestion. It really does help.
Yo Dirt! Yep this is nice. That’s my kinda groove @ 0:54. That bass resonates and those Rhodes chords with the guitars is sweeeet. The movement sounds great. Enjoyable listen for me.
I don't know if the tone of the piece is well adapted to Patricia's voice but the track is well constructed, for the mix like Manu and the others, a bit of work to have a quality sound reproduction!

Thank you for the ear. I've been out of commission for a while and created this track while under the weather. As I listen to the track today you are all right. I can do better. Again thank you for your insight becuase it do and always help.
Hey - Ive heard some nice tracks from you before so I know you can do some nice mixes but Manu's on the money - all the elements are there but screaming for a remix - look forward to hearing the revised version : )

zilla this could be an absolutely great track because its got everything, great vocal Patricia is a great singer, i used her in my first track, but like Manu the music is flat sounding, it doesn't match the groove and bounce of the vocal. it needs umphing up, it needs some density and depth with a deeper sounding bass bit of reverb, and the music needs to be louder the vocal sits on top of it and not within it. the mix and choice of instruments is sic but needs depth and loudness, please dont give up on itbecause its hot

That's awesome man. I don't know enough about Miles Davis to recognise a specific album, but I love the jazzy style and the groove.
I need to know though - is that a live sax or a vst/midi? It sounds bloody amazing! Mad props if that's you tooting that horn and also mad props if you managed to get it that way with a keyboard!
Thanks for the Ear. Back in the '70s, Miles Davis came out with an album called (On The Corner) that changed my perspective on Jazz Music and the Album won a Grammy. So to take a trip down Memory Lane, I created this track. The Sax is a soprano Sax and its live performance.
Thank you for the Ear, and the nice comment. I am glad you enjoyed my track. I invite you to take listen to some of my other tracks, for you might find one that you might like also.
The music is awesome, and so is the vocal. I like the horns and the other parts of the instrumentation - all of that is great.
I do feel the mix/EQ could be better, especially on the drums. I can't hear your kick, and the snare and hats sound cut-off, as if you have a strict filter below 100 and above 1000 Hz (throwing out random numbers here).
I think that's a shame because it's such a good track, and if you get the drums alive, it would really be so much better!
See if you agree with me (I could be wrong - I generally am wrong about mixing), but in any case, love your funk. I found another kindred soul here I think and looking forward to more tracks!
Thank You for the Ear, Comment, and Suggestions. Yes, the kick is absent on some parts of the track but on those parts, it's not being played at all. and the hats and snare are gated so maybe I should check the gate. Again I want to thank you for the Ear.
