I like DnB since early 90s.
In my opinion, the flow starts with 1:50.

So you feel like anything before ~1:50 has no use/doesn't have flow?

Lot of energy with the track. I was feelin' it. Def work on the drums a bit. I use Reason too so if you got any questions maybe I can help out.

Much success!

Jungle!!!
Hey what happened to that genre anyway?

Awesome bassline and a really cool intro. You are going to make it longer, right?
Oh please please make a Urban Shakedown drop/break with a cool piano melody or an epic vocal or something - but I'm totally loving this already though.

This is an amazing drum n bass track you have here! It really sounds like one of those dnbs off of UKF DNB or something! Very professional work here, brilliant work!

I see potential here, maybe a harder kick and some more definitive synths, but i do like the cinimatic/jungle feel you have working.

I like this alot. DnB is always face pace, and this is a great example of it. I like how you have the deep low bass in the background which wobs perfectly along with the breakbeat. Sweet!

Drum n Bass is not my things but this track is very well laid out. This is something that reminds me of the days of U.K. ragga jungle also the compression and eq'ing sounds perfects.

You're too kind :)
I hope this inspires you to create - and if so, my work here is done :) If not? That's okay too, I'm sure you'll find something that will inspire you, and when you do, hold onto it and use it to help you create something of your own!

Nice lower end on this one... As u say, there might be missing something: depending on what u want... wanna keep it smooth? dont change too much, as it is real smooth. You want it more harsh? maybe distortion or bitcrushin on the mid n midhighs (as send effekt), to be mixed into the original. Just a suggestion - I like it how it is...
Good job

Gsusfrk replied 3rd Feb 2014 - 11 years ago
Thanks for the suggestion and taking the time to listen :)
I think I do like it the way it sounds, just really felt it's missing something. So im working on something new with very similar instruments and using it as a way to create a new song. :)
Thanks again

I have a soft spot for drum and bass and this really is a good piece of that.
You are way ahead of me technically so can't say anyhing about missing frequensies, it sounds just awesome in my ears.

Thank you very much :) I appreciate the compliment!
I have a huge adoration for drum n bass, been a fan for years and probably more to come. THere's some great tune out there that dwarf mine, but I'm glad this is something you like :)
Thank you

THanks man, chill wasn't the word I was going for but I'm glad you think it is. Goes to show what people see in music when you don't intend on that effect. :)

Yo dude, all I gotta say is that you definitely have a gift and a lot of patience to create something like this. I could only imagine what your work looks like on your Reason 6 screen lol.

Loved everything about this, from the arrangements to the mastering. Peace.

Hey nice to see that you are still kickin' :D
Awesome stuff...classy drums

Loving the mix of 2 subgenres. It was really mellow at first with that IDM bass but after the drop that little droney synth changed the whole vibe.

Oh and reason 6 is out? I've been away far too long I guess..

Wonderful pads in this one, great chord progressions. I really liked the sprinkling of the piano throughout.

Mix seems really solid and crisp, not an easy task with that much bass going on.

Outstanding effort - one hell of a ride.

Great track. Intro is really nice and relaxing. Also moody but still nice and light with the beats which is refreshing. Loving the atmospherics you got goin on. Nice work!
Gsusfrk
Gsusfrk replied 14th Jan 2012 - 13 years ago
Thanks for the words man, means a lot.
I'm all about the atmospheric and ambient sounds! Spacey, hollow and vast!
Just something that ticks my clock.
The intro is a little long, and there really is no drop unfortunately. Can't really hear the bass, there's just a lot going on so it makes it hard to hear.
The transistions are a little brash and are really unexpected. A reverse cymbal or slow rise effect usually help hit the bass harder than if you just let it hit.
Keep at it man,
Steve

Hey man, thanks for the review!
If you have a noise in your head, and you want it out, you'll do anything you can to make it come out. That's what Reason has done for me! #6 is just a step up from awesome as well lol.
I'm still on looperman because i want to help striving artists to beeter themselves and hopefully inspire others to strive harder and prusue their passions (even if producing music isn't my ultimate passion).

I'll check one of your tunes out mate.
