Chillllllllled out. Wow, really digging the pads and the flow to this. Probably the most liquid based dnb I've heard on here yet. I'm sure you girlfriend loved this, it's really smooth. If you know what I mean lol The synth later on is little unbalanced level wise, but that's no huge concern. Really love this one, faved and downloaded. peace
thanks, i would love to have them. i'm not sure if you're allow to give out email addresses or not, so i'm going to try it. my email is brannimikal@gmail.com :)
It seems ambient sounds is what you're good at!
the sub-bass was really nice.
I loved the change of vibe at 2:34!
I'm taking this with me to belgium if you don't mind :)
Yeah, anything deep and musical is right up my street. Got sick of noise orientated dance music a while ago and thought I'd go back to my roots. Thanks for the review and enjoy the trip. =D
I really enjoyed this track bro!
Especially the synth sound starting at 2:57 or so...
I'm sure your girl loved this bro ;)
Nice ambient vibe to it! This is defenitely coming to Belgium with me ;)
My kind of sound when it comes to composing...i think you'll have a better understanding as to where i'm coming from when listening to my work, but as for you, this is quite an elegant piece for D&B! Love the textures used here even if their samples. It still takes a keen sense of knowledge...a stem from understanding to grasp such random sounds that can be incorporated to orchestrate parallel beside one another, creating works of art such as this. Only thing missing is some bass swells, other than that its impressive!
It definitely had some euphoric-mindstate approach to it
Thanks for the feedback and the kind words man, much appreciated. Yes some nice basslines wouldn't go amiss with this but again, this along with a number of other tracks fell victim to the pc crash which wiped pretty much everything from my hdd. I'll definitely give D&B another go sometime in the future, again in the same style as this is my preference. No Music, No soul!
Thanks again man.
Love the mellow arrangement you were going for...definitely in the progressive category. although you think it may need some additional elements, perhaps even some reverb- vocals, what you already have here is great! The saying goes, "if somethings not broke, don't fix it" ;]
Cheers Man, appreciate the feedback. Yeah a few extra elements in there would have helped to get the track that bit closer to mastering but as stated in the desc, it's a lost project file so unfortunately I cannot work on this track any longer. Shame really!
Anyway, glad you liked it and thanks for the support.
Cheers man, glad you liked it. Yeah the genre section could do with an update, I started a thread yesterday on it and looperman got back saying the site was being updated. Hopefully he can figure out the best way to execute it that works both for the community and for the site itself! I reckon user generated genres would probably be a good idea, then maybe when there's enough submissions within that genre it gets added to the main genre list.
Thanks man, appreciate it. Never thought my track could be a muse for someone so it's a pretty flattering comment. I think I have the seperated audio tracks for this somewhere so you can have the beat if you want. It's not going to do much on my pc anymore!
this is a really nice track. love the dreamy etheral pads through the track. kinda reminds me of old school Adam F, nice chilled melodys etc. great stuff !
Thanks for listening, appreciate the comments. I was listening to LTJ Bukems progression sessions and some old sonic trip with my girlfriend in the weeks before I made this so that's probably why the track sounds like it does. That and out of most D&B this is my favourite style!
Many of my songs are like that, when it comes to being able to update them. It sucks when you loose the original project files. Now getting to the song, this track has a nice chilled feel to it. It sounds pretty good to me. I think it's worthy of downloading and even fav'n. Nice work! It's still nice to share tunes even when you can't really go back and update them. Just remember this, you will always be your own worst critique.
Thanks for the positive comments man, always welcomed! Yeah there's nothing worse than losing project files. But it's always a good lesson when you do, back up everything!!!!
Glad you liked the music and thanks for the FAV!
This is dope.. Love the progression in this. The word is more bass I guess but I really enjoyed all I heard. LOve the pads and ambient synth sounds. Definitely love that old skool liquid sound. Good work on this man. Especially since this was your first DNB track. You should make some more. Hope your girl liked it. I did!!! Added to me fav's too!!!
Cheers man, Thanks for the feedback. Glad you liked it. My girlfriend loved it but I think it has become a little stale at this stage for her. I may undertake another DnB track in the future so watch this space.
niiiiiiiccccceee, this is quality prodution.the sound r blend to nicely,i love the lil breakbeat section and everything aout this track is so ill.hats off i salute u man good job.peace 352ezy
Youve got a really good ear for sounds bro.... you can hear what works and what dont, this is normally half the battle when it comes to making tracks.
The bongo's/congo's could use being either swung a little or a trick i use is to skip the bongo loop forward or back ward in 8th's until it sounds a little different to a normal loop and then move the loop forward or back by a few milliseconds, this will give the loop swing without having to actually chop it up and repostion the hits.
obviously a bit of bass would finish it off nicely but everyone else had said that so theres no point in flogging the matter, lol :)
Cheers mate, Appreciate your comments and your tips are welcomed.
I also want to say thanks to everyone else who reviewed this track, I agree a bit of bass would have completed the track as a whole. If I can find the project file I'll give it a proper mix down and add some bass. Thanks again!
Nice piece Bro, Loved all the elements you put into the track they all go great together... With a catchy hook over the top of this, it would work really really well as a chill out piece..
On the kick, i think its great and cuts through the mix, only thing i would maybe change on it would be to add a HiHat or a snare with a really fast envelope, normally i would use that to make the track cut through the mix but in this case it would be used to make the kick sound a little more real... altho im guessing that probly not what you wanted to do so you can tell me to shush if you want, lol.
Not at all mate, I know what you're saying. Im just in the habit of eliminating alot of the HI freq's from Kicks so adding a hat never crossed my mind.
Thanks for the comments by the way. Much appreciated!
there are some acapellas here that you could try. About the track i hink you've done a good work on it. The tsss sound gives it a good presure feeling. I'll wait you finish it.
Cheers man, Thanks for the info and the positive comments. I'm looking forward to presenting this to everyone here for opinion once I get the right vocal and the whole track is finalised, Watch this space.....
