john, i love the miles bitches brew vibe here with the authentic quick cut into the indian break into the next improv vamp...miles is one of my biggest influences from his work with Parker onwards haha!!..loving the kick drum work alot..sweet..this is one direction I'm real into man..excellent work..do you like Bill Laswell/Material by chance?? peace
dude the moods this track sets is like insane, u got tremolo guitars, you got elements of jazz, church organ like tones, and the flute is soothing dude. neat work
The talent and dedication it takes to get to the level of playing you are at DESERVES some serious recognition. I listened to a decent amount of Zappa & I hear just a bit of his influence on this piece. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent & skills.
Thanks for your very uplifting comments about my music. I am looking forward to listening to your pieces. I think the only reason that Zappa wouldn’t let me work with him is that I was born at the wrong time. I did see the last British tour he did, in 1988. This was the best concert I have ever seen.
John, your affinity with Zappa/Duke is absolutely uncanny. If I hadn't heard you here & seen your bio I would have sworn this was completely plunderphonic in the style of John Oswald (check his looping of Grateful Dead bootlegs).
I had the great opportunity to see FZ many times (I think seven) here in the Detroit area - astounding stuff and I will go out on a limb and say that you woulda been recruited for that next tour.
Wow, your music is very creative and professional! This is pretty near explosive! Your guitar work is amazing! I love the electric piano work too, it's fun to hear! Keep up the great work!
