To my untrained ears, everything seemed very forward in the mix, and there was a lot of hiss on the esses, (possibly intended)?

excellent vocals, they really go with the guitar, and the rhythm is consistent which is always a good thing. i like how its a really mellow track, but there are parts where the vocals intensify without leaving the mellow mood. really great track, and again love the vocals, great job on this track!

Man, I love the way you sing the chorus, the harmonies are spot on. If anything, think you could lower the volume on distorted guitar just a notch. Having said that – Great work.
