Production sounds pretty good as it is by my standard :) that's one busy bass at times, guitar riff is cool great drums too. R there vocals? Look forward to hearing a finished version.
Its a lot of uncommon and controversial stuff on this record. I usualy play Orange amps, they have that neutral core spund I can turn to everything from crunchy clean to high gain using couple stomps.I've switched to marshall and it went surprisingly good playability wise whyle recording, but I dont like the guitar tone in the end. JMC800 is fine for crunches and its more dynamical, but it has that "marshall" colour of the sound which is everywhere, on each 3rd record you listened since childhood. AFD (i used for high gains) is a pure disaster. So there are a lot stuff to do and redo/ Thanks for listening.
REAL LIVE JAZZ.I love the BEEBOP vibe. Pianos are slamming. I don't think a lot of the guitar players here know about the old BEEBOP play along cd's. This fits that category. I will be back for a visit.
wow, wonderful performances! the pieces from this set have been consistently brilliant. this makes me think of birdsongs of the mesozoic, but i like this better, it’s less blocky-sounding.
This is what would have happened if Vince Guaraldi and Dave Lombardo collaborated.
The contrast between jazzy keys and metal drums was very interesting for sure. But, as someone who's been listening to heavy metal since it's infancy in the early 80's, I'm totally digging the drums. Danke was spot on in recognizing the Lombardo-esque style there.
oh my... oh my... those kicks are like Slayer in their best Lombardo time...brutal good music...creative, forward-looking, unique...but I think I wrote thse words many times...:-) I'm the "indipendent of compromises" fan of your music...hats off...looking for that LP...
Thanks, MAN. The same here, I am suuuper into your music.
Thats actually funy, that kick is direct from the mic, kinda retro tech nowadays, but, yeah sounds straight out of 80s heavy and trash. Not so happy with that tracking, but its turned out not that bad.
This is insane, out of this world stuff. You really know your instrument, something I wish I was more involved with. Kind of reminds me a bit of Karmakanic, a brilliant rock/jazz progressive band. Great stuff, keep em coming!
