organization can definitely be considered as afrobeat. but you gotta use drums with more space and less attack if you know what I mean. These as like house drum sounds. Cool track though!!
ok wooord. this was the first beat using these instruments, i've probably revised this 12 more times after i uploaded it to LP haha. thanks for tuning in bruv! thank you
This is really and easy to listen to. I would like to hear a little more beef on the drums, they sound a little thin and distorted on my system. There's room for some deep basses to fill out the mix I think. Great track!
wooord, def something more pleasant on the ears. I appreciate the feedback! i might've edited this track like 20 times after I uploaded it to LM. The final mix is on my soundcloud.com/beatstoeat/call-on-me
I actually remember when this song came out. SWV infamous songbirds. You did a good job of creating movement with the off kilter drums melody and vocal samples. Remember hearing this a while ago but never got around to commenting. If I'm not mistaken you switched up the arrangement? Anyway great job on this.
Yeah, im def an old head according to what I listen to, lol. SWV is def THAT group. I appreciate the feedback @Format . the time i uploaded the song onto LM, i had rearranged it about a dozen more times, haha. the final mixed edit is on my soundcloud @beatstoeat
The way this Track moves around is Fantastic, it never feels like to much going on but its neat to listen to the little touches in the mix and Percussion. Great Stuff to vibe to.
Its easy to just add so many instruments and samples, songs can get lost in the mix. I wanted the vocals to be the center of attention, and have the melodies/percussions ride that instead of being the main focus. thanks again! cheers
sounds dope!!just brought me back about 20 somthn years with that SWV....you got a great sound here.great vibe .haven't heard any good rnb in a min...
nice work!!enjoyed this!!!
Yaooo! thanks man. i grew up listening to a lot of R&B. that and good ol west coast hip hop. a lot of my music rn is a lot like this joint. so much trap music going on, gotta switch it up! I appreciate you tuning in, more music to come!
thanks @NXVII, yes having variations would be difficult for an actual singer. R&B is really more focused on the vocals as opposed to different variations or switch ups to songs. 1 or 2 breakdowns is standard.
