Not gonna lie, at first it sounded a bit off, but as i listened to it, I began to catch the drift you had goin. I think that coo' you can play a flute.

Wow. You know, that was a much more intimate cover than I was expecting. The stripped down pop hit with up-pitched vocals... I loved it. Has a very different vibe than the original.
up pitched vocals? thats my real voice...lol just kidding.....up pitching the vocals is the only way my voice becomes bearable to listen to.....this song was played for an ex shortly after a break up...u can hear the sadness in it....thanks for listening
Play 2 now...
Ya deleted it? Man that stinks! Had I reviewed it before? For some odd reason the vox on this sound super familiar. Hmm, dunno was it in a different genre before?
Anyways, the Sitar on this reminds me of the episode of Futurama where Bender develops an addiction to 'jacking in' (or was it 'juicing')... It was the episode where they went to see the Beastie Boys perform. Cool mix mate. Later on!
ya u reviewed it befor....lol thanks for takin the time to listen.....yes i had it in the trance genre befor...i followed ur advice and changed the genre and also took ur advice and removed the sound of "ppl doing it" as u put it....lol....see some ppl really do listen
Play 2 now...
Hey mate, dunno if it's just my speakers, but this sounds like it's on the verge of clipping. So ya might wanna knock back their levels in your program's mixer.
The way this starts kinda reminds me of that song by Dee-lite (Groove is in the Heart, I think). And when paired with the drums it just gave me a wicked idea to chop this up some to give it kind of a breaks vibe, ya know. Especially considering that ya threw in some scratch loops on here, making it all the more sweeter, ay. And this is gonna sound a lil odd, but this reminds me of the way my best friend Mike use to mix music (there's a similar flavor about this). Anyways, just fix that one mastering thing and this'll be golden. Later on!
(Update).
Hey mate, I just added something to the "Production Trickbook" thread that ya might wanna check out. Though I did forget to cover what levels were (haha, my bad). Basically, levels refer to the volume level that your tracks/channels play back at. Typically, they can be controlled via the program's Mixer application.
So if your drums were on channel one and they seemed to overpower the vocals or something all you'd have to do is go in and drop down it's volume until it matches up with the other (or just plays back better). Or you can go the other way with it, if the vocals were on channel 6 then you could just go there and bump up their level until it started to sound okay. Just experiment with it and you'll get the hang of it. Lates again.
please feel free to do what ever u want to this track and let me hear what u came up with.....idk what levels means but im learning tons from this site and im sure ill know what u mean eventually...i apreciate ur advice
update...i tried adjusting the levels...could u rereview? i think i understand what u mean
btw....what does clipping mean?
This is great stuff - very glad I randomly clicked on this one. Nothing bad to say - I liked everything about this track. Even had a great ending!! Wow!
Good social criticism going on here, both in terms of vocals and with sample selection. "This is cocaine speaking" is a phrase that carries many connotations, and really does push it into a creepy place. Well done with that. I'm finding the mix a bit too high, and having really serious clipping/distortion issues on my little machine here. Any plans on remixing?
uinfortunatly my machine crashed and all i have to work with now is the saved mp3...all loops are lost but im tryin to find them again...really do wanna work on this more to get that distortion down but im at a loss as to what to do
this song is really cool..
your mix is really hot.. i pushed play and it blow my ears out lol
it stays in the red on my interface.. and i can here the clipping of the low frequencies really bad.

Very hip.
